Can someone explain exactly when the SOL begins?

Is it from the first default date or from charge off date? I'm a little confused. I think that some of my debt is about to reach the SOL period but I'm not sure how it is calculated. Thanks. :-)

You may check your state's Statute of Limitations on debt here. If the SOL is past, you legally do not have to pay. If you do make a payment towards a past debt, it restarts the clock.
