Did he send the cops to your house? I am sure he didn't, because the company was just making lame threats to get the money from you. Be aware that you have your rights as a consumer and you can file a case against them for violating the fdcpa. Record the phone calls after checking with your state laws and consult an attorney. You should also send a debt validation letter to confirm that they have your file and are doing legit collections.

No, he did not send the cops to my house, Thank God. We have not defaulted on any loans, however, we have been dealing with a case of fraud with our bank. someone got ahold of our account information and things have just been a mess. we have been working closely with our bank on this, and from what i understand from them, FTR was one of the places that was involved with this. My bank returned all of the stolen funds back to us, and then i received this phone call from FTR. it was the first time i have ever talked to them, and they were unbelievably rude. the man on the phone was screaming so loud at me, one of my friends that was here when the call took place was sitting across the room from me and heard every word he was screaming. everytime i tried to ask him a question, or tried to ask him to stop screaming at me, he would only get louder, and tell me not to interrupt him. after several times of asking him to repeat what he had said due to the fact that his accent was so thick i couldnt understand him, he told me that i needed to go to school to learn english, asked me if i thought i was smarter than him, or if i thought i had any intelligence at all, and refused to answer any of my questions. he refused my request to transfer me to a supervisor, or to anyone who didnt have such a heavy accent so that i could better understand. im still not sure what the phone call was about. The only information i have about this company came from my bank, and they really couldnt tell me much either. they are looking further into it for me. who knows, maybe they can get the answers for me that i tried to get when FTR called me. I still cant believe some of the things he said to me. this man actually had the nerve to call me a stupid B*tch when i kept telling him that i couldnt understand him because of his accent, and to please stop screaming at me because it only made him more difficult to understand. when i typed in FTR processing into my search engine to find out who these people were, i found you all. its nice to know that im not alone in my dealings with them.
