What exactly is (DFI)

Has anyone had any luck with the DFI? Like my previous post- I really dont think theres a point in filing complaints with the AG. These complaints were filed in FEB of this year...it takes 6 MONTHS to get a response?
What can I expect to happen with the DFI? Anything or am I just wasting my time again?

I can't say what will happen. State Department of Financial Institutions are the depts that regulate and license these businesses.
I know that my DFI helped me tremendously, and are very active in working on these complaints. More so then my AG's office. But it varies state to state.

Tweety here in Indiana I have actaully had better luck with the AG office than I did when I talked to the DFI. It's different in every state...I emailed the DFI with questions and he so cunfused me...finally Goudah called them and got a direct answer from them however I had already filed with the AG and the following week recieved letters from them..so I stopped at that point. The AG office here does mediate on your behalf.
