If you need assistance, please try to refrain from making multiple posts about a single subject.
By creating multiple posts with the same information in each one, our board gets clogged with requests for the same information over and over, and it makes it difficult for us to keep up with what advice you have already been given. Therefore, if someone posts information to you, and you ask a question on ONE thread, you may not receive an answer, because our members may be looking at your OTHER posts - not the one you are posting to. If all questions and answers are contained in a single thread, it makes it much easier for you to find your answers, and for us to provide the additional information you need.
Thank you for helping our members to help YOU! :-)

Thank you, Goudah - I don't mod this forum and was hoping someone would make it a sticky for me.
I've seen SO many multiple threads lately by the same user - and then I've seen some that looked familiar and read them - only to find they WERE the same user - just under a different guest name.
So I guess I would add something to this - if you are going to post, please try to stick to the same guest name, rather than using another name, so we know it's you! Better still, why not register as a member, so you can earn DebtCC Points for your posts, which can be cashed in later - and stay around to share your experience with newcomers, so you can help them the way you were helped! :-)

Good thinking! Mods, when you see a duplicate post/topic, please feel free to delete the one that has no replies. Doing this, everyone will stick to one discussion only instead of having the poster to peep in different threads.
Suebee, thanks for giving a good and helpful thought. You guys are making the board easy to browse.
Regards
Mike

I do delete duplicate threads when I see them. The problem is, that when someone posts several times and people have answered them, then you are stuck! I recently saw several posts by the same person with about 5 responses in all of them!!
Also, there are some forums I don't mod in, so I can't delete! Thanks Sue and Mike!!..KAren

Thanks Mods for keeping things nice and tidy. I try and do my part by keeping all of my problems in my one thread, (although I'll mention stuff in other threads especially if they are pertaining to a particular company). Even if no one replies, I'll keep adding my updates.
Another mildly related topic is that we'll get three different people all trying to sort out their situation in one thread. I know the mods sometimes will help people make their own. And I'm not sure what to do to rectify that situation.
But ultimately what I really wanted to add is...
Nice Job Mods! You guys (and girls!) are great!

Hi Guys,
Have to say again, I love seeing everyone's posts and really hate to delete anything--but duplicate posts do bog down the board. So please, I and all moderators love your posts and healthy debate and want alot more of it--but let's be reaaallly careful about the threads, OK??

Also,if you see something that looks like a spam post, or they post nothing at all, please don't respond to it. A mod will delete it, and they would have to delete your post too, thus making you loose points. Just Pm a moderator, or if none are available-look under the Pub forums and you will see a "Report Spam here" thread!! Thanks to all of you for your help and support to keep this community strong!!..KAren :D

We are getting another mad rush of people with multiple threads! So I have some advice, if anyone actually happens to read it.
check your MY Threads!
That is how I reply to mine. You can find everything you post in easily, find those that people have recently posted something in, and the list isn't nearly as long, if you are searching for a specific one that you've already posted in.
I suspect this new onslaught is because people don't know this, and when they can't find their original thread on the first page they just make a new one. Or if no one is replying they just make a new one... But if you post in your original one, it puts it back to the top and eventually someone will come along. Don't get frustrated or impatient, just keep posting info relevant to your original question in the same thread please!
(keep in mind that asides, providing a simimliar experience in someone elses thread is okay, but once you get to asking questions that aren't useful for this other person, it just gets too complicated!)

BUMP!
I felt it would be a good idea to bump this topic back up once again, since we are seeing a new rush of guests and visitors requesting help, and multiple threads are being created asking the same question over and over.
Just a reminder to our wonderful guests and visitors - if you keep your requests for help down to a single post, rather than posting several times asking the same thing, you will receive all of the information you need in one place. You won't have to search for it that way, and our forums won't get clogged with multiple posts asking the same questions.
Welcome to our forums, we're glad you're here! :-)

Amen, Sue.
I have major guilt over deleting a legitimite post from someone in need of help and hate doing it, so if you could just keep it to one thread, that would be great!

I know what you mean, kscornell - I deleted a couple today, after it became apparent that there were over 10 posts by the same guest, all worded exactly alike. I hated to do it, but I was careful not to delete ones that had already received responses. It just makes it hard for the OP to find their information, and they may miss out on advice that might be helpful.

I am a new member and I am a little confused. I posted a new topic yesterday and got six replies. I was asked to provide some more details about my problem so I sent a reply. My question is, where the reply was posted. I didnt see it posted anywhere. I dont want to send a new one or create a new post until I figure this out. Is my reply posted to the same topic that I posted or is it visible to the person I replied to only?
