What happens are what do you do when you are part of a repayment plan, lets say to a bank, and you mail a money order certified with a return reciept, you call the place where you bought the money order to see it it has been cashed or not, and it has not, you do this again for about 3 weeks, then you call the place where you mailed it and even though I have proof they recieved it, but it has not been cashed. What do you do. They said "Well you just have to resend this months payment cause we donkt have that payemnt". What are my rights since I mailed it, they received it, but no one cashed it. That is not my fault. What can I do . I live in Il.

thanks,
Luke

The place said for me to wait till the 11th of this month, and they will put a tracer on it, but what happens if it comes back not found. I have absolute proof I mailed . I made a copy fo the money order before I mailed it, I have the certified and return reciept info. and also a print out from online when they recieved it. That should stand that "I made a payment", does anyone else agree.

thanks

Where did you buy the money order...at a bank or a convenience store? Either way, they should be able to put a stop payment on the money order and issue you a new one if you request it. I would also include a copy of the certified reciept that was signed as receipt of payment to the bank when you send them the new money order. That way they won't post your payment as late. They can effective date it to the date when they signed for the original payment you sent them.

I had a friend, who was trying to work with a CA, to pay off a debt with them. She made payment arrangements and made her first payment on time. The CA said they " never recieved it." After that first payment, my friend sent his payments 'Certified Mail'..so, the CA HAD to sign for it. I think it was the third and fourth payment, this CA said they never got ( too). However.......my friend had gotten a reciept that SOMEONE, from the CA, had recieved the payment BOTH times. She went to court, about these payments ( after the CA said they would sue for "breaking payment arrangemnts"). Well.....needless to say, my friend won cuz she had 'all the proof in the world', that these payments were made. Cool, huh??
