Anyone who knows me around here knows perfectly well that I am completely out of commission on Saturday afternoons, all day Sunday, and Monday nights during football season!
I am freelancing for my local newspaper again, covering high school and area college football games, so that is occupying my Friday nights. AND...My 8-yr-old son is playing rocket football this year (it's so exciting!!!!) and guess who is one of his coaches? It's exhausting, and I miss you guys. I am at practice every weekday from 5:30pm until 7pm. football literally rules my world right now, and in my free time I'm running, I have a very big race the beginning of November.
Anyway, I'm still here, I'm in and out as much as possible. Unfortunately football season is over waaaaay too soon, so I'll be back before long.

Glad to see that you're doing fine--and don't worry about football season, I'm like that with baseball and the Oakland A's, who are not going ANYWHERE this postseason :evil:, so I'm going to have to root for a new team in October!! Being a sports fan in the Bay Area means you need therapy, lol.......

LOL!! I was talking to one of my fellow ushers at my concert venue this weekend and he was telling me how he got to usher at Raiders games in Oakland. Sounds like a great gig--only problem is that there's just one day of work a week during the regular season (Sunday) and that's only when the team's not on the road...

South Bend is only an hour and 15 minutes from us, so it's closer than anything else, and I've been an Irish fan since birth. Tickets are VERY unreasonable, more so this season than usual. Wish me luck, I really want to go!!!!!
A pro game is happening this season...The bears are the closest, at 2 hrs away, and no tickets are available. The Colts are next, at 2 1/2 hours away, no tickets there either. Next is cincinnati, at about 3 1/2 hours, and they are about the most expensive tickets in the league!!! I can't win.
