karen, there is no letter to file with your state AG. You just file a complaint with them. You can do it on line. Well, some states you can do it on line. Other states, you get on line and have to download the complaint form, fill it out, and mail it in. Just google your state attorney general. The website should pop up. Click on it to get to the site. Look for something along the lines of "consumer protection". Click on that. Then there should be a "file a complaint" link. Click on that. Depending on what state you are in, you can file it right on line or you have to download the complaint form. Do this. Fill in all the requested information and file that complaint!

Look a few post up and you can see the rebuttal they gave the BBB. But I did just file complaints with the FTC, and the states attorney's office in their area. Mainly concerning all the harassing phone calls I continue to get. I don't understand. Why won't they just give me debt validation? Continuing to harass me is not going to get me to pay the bill

This is my response to Mr Reginald White at CPS. I'm quite sure he will continue to try and intimidate me, but at this point, I don't think he will have a chance to get anything out of me

karen, They are not going to play by the rules. If they did non of us would be in this mess. Unfortunately they maek up the rules as they go along and sometimes someone will not have a prolem with a company and others will. You are an intelligent sane rational person trying to deal with stupidity and no it will not make sense. Keep up the good work..eventually they will get the message and leave you alone. Good call on filing with their States Attorney office. I have done that with one on the advice of someone else. At this point I would file with the WWF if I thought it would help. karen, someone will correct me if I am wrong. I believe that Cash Cash is backed by a bank and also Think Cash is backed by a bank. I know they are both considered "installment loans". However, someone will correct me if I am wrong. Were you wondering about one of them? As far as a collection agency checking your credit, did you find that someone checked your credit? I know of "inquiries" that are done. That's like when you apply for the pdl's or whatever and it "hits" as showing someone did an "inquiry". Is that what you're talking about? Or did you find that someone actually checked your credit?

I also just received this email from the collection agency that reported me today. They still have yet to give me any proof that they own this account, that i owe money for this account, they just keep avoiding that whole situation all together!
Dear debtor:
Reginald White does not have access to email. We do run credit reports to locate debtors and establish assets, which in your case we have found are limited and will most likely result in a review many months from now to see if you have obtained any assets.
We do not accept email from debtors because debtors can not sign their emails and therefore that does not provide enough demonstrable evidence that you actually sent it.
We also do not have fax access for debtors unless we give explicit permission; in your case none has been given.
There are many forms of the form letter that you are trying to send us. Keep in mind that the FTC has issued opinions condemning the use of ???????frivolous??????? demands in letters from consumers and has authorized with caution and appropriate discretion the right to dismiss said form letters as frivolous and therefore irrelevant.
Lastly, a collection agency does not need permission to run your credit report or report to it. Unfortunately that means we can and will use it to effect a collection for as long as is necessary. We will be adding your email address to our blocked list to avoid further misrouted communications to our IT department.
This is an attempt to collect a debt that we have determined you owe. Any and all information obtained through communicating with you in any form will be used to aide us in collecting the debt.
Yours,
I.T. Department

karen, did you send the collection agency a debt validation letter? Apparently, they are only going to "deal with you" through written communication. Which is good. You will have documentation. Did you send them a debt validation letter? Or just the email that you posted?

sent it certified mail, faxed it and emailed it. they continue to return each and everyone of them. they are totally avoiding debt validation. still continue to harass me on my voicemail, some of the messages are so unbelievable that my coworkers were actually appalled! go on budhibbs.com and take a look at the things they have to say about marauder aka collection professional services. i am not the only one they are doing this to

well, it has only been since tuesday since i sent the letter certified, so no response from that yet. however the bbb report says all mail that has been sent to that address has been returned undeliverable. so it is only a matter of time before the letter is returned also. so what else can i do? if i can't get them to accept any letters requesting debt validation, how can i fight this case?

i have an address on a letter they sent me saying i wrote a bad check. which of course, they have yet to prove. it went from writing a bad check, to owing money on a pdl. these people are a joke, they changed the reason as soon as i asked for a copy of the bad check. but anyway....the address on the letter is the same one that the bbb has. they have changed their name so much, i am starting to get confused. they sent me letter head with collection professional services on it, but reported to the credit bureau by the name of marauder, and they are also known as first creditors or something like that.

Okay. They have 5 different addresses.

Good Lord! Hate to say this, but I would send the debt validation to each name and each address. That's just what I personally would do.

i get the point that i will have to send them to all 5 places, even though i have already sent them by fax and email, and they returned them for whatever reason. i guess i will just have to deal with the negative remark on my credit for now. The man who sent me the email last night happens to be the so called president of the agency. when he got my fax on friday, he left me a voicemail saying...."well,well,well,....it looks as though we have something to talk about, you need to call me immediately" so i know they are receiving my letters, they just will not play by the rules. bottom line, all they had to do was prove that i wrote a bad check, and then they would have gotten the money. they are avoiding that issues entirley!!!
Of course they are. They avoid any and all issues if it does not

how do you solve a collection with someone who will not even prove you owe them money? all i have now is a collections on my credit report. so what do i do, wait 7 years for it to go away? i know each time they renew it, my credit score drops drastically. i went from a 650 to a 505 in 1 week. i'll never beable to buy a house at this rate!

Good Job...I can not believe (actually for some reason I can)..that these poeple would be so stupid. An illegal pdl passes the account to an illegal CA and then they have the nerve to attack your credit report. I think Cannr posted about this whole thing on one of your earlier pages.

We all feel your pain. It is frustrating becuase they are not following the law, you are asking them to and trying to do what is right and it feels like you can not win. Try not to let them get to you...I know easier said than done.....comming from the person who was so stressed by these people on Friday, I ate icream for every meal and snack...Ben and Jerry's profits went through the roof thanks to me.

Karen, you're going to have to dispute this with the credit bureau. Which you already have done on line; however, also do it in writing. Don't let it eat at you. All you're going to do is dispute it. They will investigate it. It'll be okay. It'll take time. Don't expect miracles overnight. Keep copies of all your documentation regarding this illegal company so you will have proof while disputing. Stop talking to them. Telephone calls have no documentation. You want written proof of their crap. The collection agencies that keep sending you letters. Don't talk to them. Put it in writing for a debt validation (I'm talking about your newest one you got from the same company I did). Mail it certified. That's all you can do. If it shows up on your credit report, dispute it. It's a pain in the ass, but you have to. That's why you need to stop "talking" to these idiots. You need to have everything documented. Even if it means just taking notes for yourself regarding the process. You need everything in writing. Especially since you are dealing with disputing these on your credit report. Don't get discouraged or frustrated. I know I'm pissed, but I'm going to do what I can & only in writing & keep up on it. Please stop talking to these illegal idiots. Just make sure you keep fighting to have it (or others) removed from your credit report. No, do not just "wait 7 years for it to go away". Dispute it. The bureaus will investigate it!
I will continue to fight, I will not give these people that much
I will continue to fight, I will not give these people that much power over my life. The funny thing is, I got the letter from National Credit Adjusters while of was in the midst of being harassed by Collection Professional Services this week, so I actually sent out both of their letters at the same time. I figured I was going to stop them from contacting me by phone before they even had the chance to start harassing me. Wasn't looking forward to having to ca's harassing me at the same exact time.

o.k. so i just sent an email to support(at)transunion.com, enclosing all notices I have sent to Mr Reginald White @ collection professional services, and also all the responses I have gotten back from him, which by the way, was just a bunch of rambling on instead of just giving me debt validation.
I enclosed with that my dispute number that they had emailed me, and I will put the hard copies in the mail tomorrow. I know this can not and will not get fixed over night, but I know I have the strength to continue on with this fight
