Paying hospital bills after having insurance

I'm paying over $33,000 in hospital bills. And this is AFTER insurance! My husband and I can only pay so much due to "just making it by" paying our normal bills. Even though we're trying to do the best we can we're hounded day after day. Is there anyone who can tell me if there's anything we can do since collection agencies are threatening to sue us?

Welcome to the Community :D That's alot to pay after insurance. Was there alot of out of net work Doctors or what?

My sis-inlaw had a stroke at age 46, and has had a heart attack and many other problems since, with tremendous bills, and will have alot not covered, or partially covered. Their insurance isn't the greatest.

My brother has talked with an attorney, and they may have to file bankruptcy- if they went with debt settlement, they still couldn't pay it all-she will never work again.

Since you have registered, someone will contact you, check your e-mail, from your area and discuss options you may have concerning your debt.
