If you still have lots of bills you can try a consolidation company, they help you budget and get back on track. Most people here will say that Bankruptcy should be a last resort, I've been through it myself and would not recommend it.
And remember that your credit will take a while to get back on track, bankruptcy or no. Just take a deep breath, don't give up and keep at it. And send your husband to a budgeting class, he needs to learn to appreciate what he does have and quit wanting for more. (I can say that because I'm the one in my relationship that kept wanting more bills) You need to stand up and take the financial situation back.
And coming here was a good step in the right direction. Welcome
You will have problems in rebuilding credit in the beginning aft
You will have problems in rebuilding credit in the beginning after filing for bankruptcy. This is not the only option you have to do the repair. You may try a consolidation program or in case, you can't afford the payments, go for a debt settlement86 plan. Consolidation is much better than debt settlement and bankruptcy. But, if it is easier for you to pay the monthly amount in the debt settlement plan, you won't have to think about bankruptcy. Speak with a debt consultant who will budget your finances and set up a plan. After giving your consent, he will start negotiating with your creditors.
I think that the advice that you have received is good advice.
I think that the advice that you have received is good advice. Follow it and let us know how things are going. I have been down the bankruptcy road and is not a good one. It should only be your last resort.
