I took out four pay day loans this summer to help with some bills, but one of them Eagle Finance goofed up and took the full payment out of my account when I normally pay the finance fee. This caused my checking account to become overdrawn and I defaulted on my Web Payday Loan, my Cash Transfer Central loan, Cash Central and an installment loan from Purpose Loans which is part of Bank of Delaware. I could not get caught up and they kept sending the checks to my bank so I eventually had to get another banking account.

Now they are calling me like 8 or nine times a day. The only ones calling are Cash Central, Cash Transfer Centers, Eagle Finance and Purpose Loans. I will not talk to them I only communicate with them through emails. I told Cash Central that I would like to make payment arrangements with them and they agreed, but I got a phone call from them stating that I needed to pay before the date that I agreed to start making payments I am ignoring them and sending them what I can by money order. Eagle Finance agreed to accept payments from me but for some reason a 390.00 loan has reached 510.00 I am going to ask them to send me a statement showing charges. Web Pay Day called one time and they even called my references which in the contract they said they would not do that.

I am really worried about paying Cash Central off because they are licensed to do business in the State of Kansas. What are the differences in the laws between store front payday loans and online payday loans?

And what is a good debt management comapny that could help me resolve this. You had a company listed on this site before, but I can't find it any more.

T&C is the company I think you are referring to. They will work with payday loans.

Cash Central is operating legally, as well as Purpose Loans.

The others may not be licensed.

I know there has been some litigation in Kansas in the past regarding who's laws internet based companies had to follow, but the case is still pending.

Online payday loan companies would need to follow the laws of Kansas, just as storefronts.

Web Pay Day: 500 loan 150 finance fee: I only paid once.

Eagle Finance: 300 loan + 90.00 finance fee: paid 90.00 finance fee twice

Purpose Loans: 750 loan 97.00 installment payment: I only paid once

Cash Central: 300 loan + 75 finance fee = 375.00 due next pay day.

Cash Transfer Centers: 300+45= 345 total to be paid on next pay day.

For some reason Eagle Finance is telling me that my balance is now 510.00

They are backed by the First Bank of DE. Federal law allows banks to import their interest rates from their home state, and does not require them to be licensed in other states.

If you check your state laws, there are exceptions to the licensing requirements. FDIC insured banks are one of them.

I have been trying to get in touch with Purpose Loans, but there is no address. I will not talk to any collectors on the phone because they try to intimidate you and I would prefer that any agreement made be on paper. Can anyone give me the address to Purpose Loans? When I first found them on the computer I was attempting to finish filling out the application and a customer service rep called before I could click submit. He told me that I needed to fax my work info, and bank info. before I could get the loan. I did not want to go throught the hassle of finding a place to fax the information so I said forget it I do not want the loan. Well the CSR called again and asked when I was going to fax the info. and I told him probably within the next two hours. I did not fax so I thought that was it. Well a week later on my payday Purpose Loans had deposited 750 in my account without my faxed information. How could they have okayed me when I did not fax my info. in ?

I am finally fed up with the pdl's calling me 10-15 time per day. They will not call my place of employment because the secretary told them that I could not received calls of that nature. But my caller ID is full everytime I come home. I have requested to them by email to send me a statement stating how much I owe but they choose to keep emailing and calling. I will not talk to them so what else should I do?
