I read the recent posts and I need some additional help. I have asked them to help with repayment of my loan and to defer the balance until the end of October because my financial position had changed. I got the same nasty person and responses. I have asked to be connected with this persons boss and have gotten nowhere. Any ideas where I should go from here?

Here's ONE address from the BBB. Which, of course, this company has an "F" rating. Surprised?

Here is the other on BBB. Notice the comment posted on the BBB under the address/phone. Could it be the same company, only now they have "moved" to NM????

Nationwide Cash Loans
4513 Brainerd Road
Chattanooga, TN 37411
Telephone: (423) 697-0004

According to information in the BBB files, it appears that the company is no longer in business. The phone numbers the BBB had for this company are disconnected, and directory assistance does not have a listing for this company. The BBB's mail to this company has been returned as undeliverable. If you have an unresolved dispute with this company you may wish to seek legal advice.

1 - Company cannot be located.

It may be a different company; however, it wouldn't surprise me if it's the same. They probably just "moved on" like your average pdl does. They seem to like NM for some reason! I'm sure they're not licensed. Go figure!

Cannr - I was curious that Dennis Williams was listed as the primary contact since is runs Langhorne so I called the 866 # above and asked for him. They did answer but said there was no one by that name. Again, just curious.

Nationwide is licensed in NM . . . . It's been located in NM for a while, so I think the other address you found was for another business.

Dennis Williams used to be the head counsel for Nationwide. If you read some of the older threads, you will see some posts about that. There are still some questions as to his relationship with Nationwide, I have heard some rumors that he will not take you if you have a pdl with them. But on the other hand he has done a lot of good for people like us since turning from the "dark side" so that should be taken into account before anyone decides to use Langhorn.

Holy crap! I didn't even "connect the dots" on that one! That is what is stated on the BBB site for nationwidecash.com. I swear.

Cannr - I don't know how accurate the BBB updates are. I also remember reading that Dennis Williams used to be with Nationwide but is no longer. It is kind of a weird situation. I think coming from that field he knows more than most about handling the PDLs but I understand people's suspicions. After all, we are trying to get out of this trap not into a new one.

Their web site actually states they are a company founded by former pay day loan industry professionals. Langhorn contacted me and I googled and went to the web site to see what they were about. There was a thread to this site under it and I went to it to see what was said about them...and that is how I found you all. I was very skeptical after I saw the part about the former pay day loan employees..but the again who better to uderstand how the companies work.

motomom, you're right. He's not hiding the fact that he was once "one of them". I think that's why they get results. And, you're probably correct in regards to the BBB "updates". The address may be correct on the companies; however, they may not "update" the president/owner/manager/whatever. But like you stated, he never tried to hide the fact he was once "on the other side."
