Hi everyone! Just wanted to say I am so excited because I finally saved enough money to have my internet reconnected at home (yes...that is how bad it had gotten...) But, that's water under the bridge now, thanks to you all. So, I will get to spend alot more time here (Wooohoo). Just wanted to express a few words of thanks because I wouldn't have been able to come this far if it weren't for the support of all of my friends here! :-)

It absolutely does feel great. I'm an internet junkie, so it was a big heartache to have to give it up before. But, perseverance (sp?) will prevail! Now I can get back to learning more things about working computers! (I am not that computer literate, but with the WWW, you can learn anything!)

Way to go! We were at the point of having them shut off, but I managed to sweet talk the company into giving me an extra 2 weeks to get it paid. They gave it to me now 5 weeks klater we are completely caught up on all of our bills except the PDLs. Now I can concentrate on them. I would have lost my mind without internet, beside the fact that I would have failed out of college.

Good Morning Eleroo!! I am glad you were able to re-connect!! I know exactly how you feel!!

I am an internet junkie too-but really computer ignorant!

When our computer was down for a week, I just kinda wondered around the house

We are looking forward to seeing you here more often!..Karen

I love the internet. I'm at work now, so I can only pop in and out every now and then during the day...but when I get home, it's going to be full steam ahead!!! It does feel good, however, to be getting things caught up. I took so many things for granted before that I really pay attention to now.

You know what guys, it is kind of scary how dependant we have become. I remember when 8 years back Internet was something that not that many people knew about. My first dial-up connection I have used to browse around ugly websites and a webmaster was like a god to me. And look at the web today - you can basically do everything. Communications, entertainment, order food, pay your bills, work. I personally know that I just cannot live without Google. This is my favourite search engine and I have been using it since the day it emerged as a webpage. Whenever I need to know how to write a word, to convert currency, to lookup something that I sont understang, my first thought is to Google it. Then google it again, but in the "images" tab, just to see what it looks like. And then all my bills, everything gets paid trought the net. I rarely get the good old mail anymore!

What is that you guys cant live without on the Internet?

I absolutely LOVE the internet. I am like a little sponge soaking up every bit of information I can get my hands on. I am a counselor, so I hear lots of...well...different things and go straight to the internet and learn everything I can about it. It really helps to be able to make a connection with people (no pun intended!)
