My stomach is turning with nervousness. I've been waiting for this day for 3 years! Of course it wasn't as low as i wished for but at least they're gonna be off my back soon and will NEVER have to talk to them again! Now all i need to do is sell one of the houses we have on the market at work, get my commission check and pay off this loan cuz i do NOT wanna be making monthly payments forever! Keeping my fingers crossed to sell fast!!!

Could you elaborate on that Ang? When you say what they now are saying you owe, do you mean that they are now claiming a larger ammount? It is a fdcpa violaton to misrepresent the ammount of a debt.

Ok JC here goes: The original charge off was 4,500 (est) by the time i spoke to CACH almost 3 years ago it was up to 9,400. I sent numerous DV letters but my mistake was not answering the summons and they got a default judgment last Oct. (btw they never answered any dv letter) Actually the ONLY times, maybe 3, i've talked to them at all has been when i've called them! Ok so fast forward to present... I called them to settle this and now the amount has jumped once again to right under 14,000!! I asked him if he cud send me a break down of charges but he said he didn't have that information (he's in the atty's office) that CACH had it...
SO last night hubby decides that maybe we sud take our chances and go to court on Monday and make them prove how they came up with the amount owed... I'm at a total loss here. Every time i think i'm almost done with them something comes up that keeps them in my life!
