I was just thinking today that since I closed my old bank account and opened a new one with no overdraft privileges, have defaulted on all my payday loans, that I don't know what I will do if I get in a bind again. What kind of mindset do I need to have? Do I just need to keep plugging away at my other debts and try to put something in savings for emergencies? What do you veterans consider doing to prepare for financial emergencies, since you no longer use payday loans? My credit stinks to high heaven, so conventional loans are not an option.

volley, I want you to have a new avatar. I want you to have something that symbolizes freedom/unity. Like the Statue of Liberty or something.

Thank you PYB..you would think I would remember that comming from and italian family where you shout Anthony and 1/2 the boys come running  St. Anthony would be such an appropriate patron saint for her and us. We have all been lost souls at times and we often feel like we are fighting a lost cause.

You guys are so nice to me! :D You give me WAY too much credit though!

Luke, I'm going to miss your posts. I can't believe you're leaving us for a whole week.

And, yes, I'm tired of looking at food! I'm glad the damn bird is back!

RoxyNY- I loved that movie. I love ROCKY! though I quit watching after the Russian.... But Balboa was really good even if I about balled my eyes out during the first few minutes.. But that scene between him and his son on the sidewalk, it was at the time very inspirational to me. I was like no way -- this is good stuff, I actually took what Rocky said to heart. It was so true.

anyway- I hear those trumpets now....

I was excited to see the avatar. Lorim, I have raised four boys and a husband, I could probably quote Rocky in my sleep. However, I have to give my son credit for that one. He has that saying tattooed on his leg...I thought it appropiate for all we have been through here.

me too, I am surrounded by the male species myself. My animals are even all males.
I am out numbered on everything.

but we all love Rocky ! My son is learning to play trumpet, I am always asking him to learn the theme song. But he is just learning so I can wait.. They only seem to teach them Christmas songs! LOL! :?
