Judgement of Default....help?

hey I just received a judgement against me from a law firm.I was dealing with these people then due to unfortunate circumstances{detox and rehab for substance abuse)I defaulted on the payments and couldn't attend court....is there anything I can do at this point or am I totally screwed...any help is much appreciated.

Once they have a default judgement against you it is an uphill battle to fight it.
Did you ever actually receive the summons? Maybe try to find a lawyer that does free consultations in your area. Maybe there is a way you can get the case reopened since you were not at a place where you could go to court.
But - If you owe the debt, the outcome will likely be the same. Another option is trying to work out some sort of payments arrangements with them now, to avoid any garnishments or something.
