Why you people visit this forum

The motivation for most is just helping others! When u come here desparate and feel at the end of ur rope as i did and many others and find there is help for u and things aren't so bad. You can actually breathe again, sleep again, eat again without being consumed with ur debt it is SUCH a relief that u want to help others know there is a way out! There IS indeed a light at the end of the tunnel! And to help someone see this is the greatest reward there is!

When I come here I know there is always a friend waiting to listen and to help. There is support here and that goes alot farther than money ever could! I've never actually met anyone here face-to-face, but I feel like I know a great many of you very well and am thankful to have "met" you. I also enjoy helping others. I am a counselor, so it is in my nature to be a helper! I might not have the answers to everything, but I will look for them and will just be there for support if nothing else.

Something about people helping each other is addicting! Like Ang and Eleroo stated, I came here for help received an enormous amount of help and support. It was such a weigh off of my shoulders that I wanted to help others get that same relief.

I post, because If I can prevent one person from going thru the hell that i went thru i will do it. I have made wonderful friends here , and we do share experiences, and give each other hope. I have become part of a community , and a family that is to me priceless

what you have to keep in mind is that many of us have been here quite a while - a year or more in some cases. Posts add up quickly.

Sue is right, I have been here for over a year- that's why I have the posts I have.

Also, The answer is simple for me- I stay here to give back what I have been give- help and hope!..Karen :D

That's right. You have to give away what you want to keep.

It's just paying it forward for me and it's also support to talk with others dealing with PDL's, because for years I thought I was the only one.

Like everyone else, I post because I have BEEN THERE and want to help out people who are there now.

That is impossible forget about debt consolidation care forum.
I like this forum because god is always present here.
Before i find this forum my husband blind and mentally ill was harassed day and night for some bad debt collectors.
Today my husband have peace.
Believe me or not this forum make miracles.

This forum & the people in it make me feel better. I know I've gotten myself into a pickle with credit card debt, but when I feel like I'm the only one going through this and scared/alone I come here for advice or just to vent. You can always find great advice, a sympathetic ear here. No judgement is passed at all & if someone DOES pass judgement, then the group is quick to defend. When you have a serious problem like this, they are the best help in the world.

I agree with all these posts and more!!! With the economy sliding in many areas of the country, for every one of us who came here seeking help there are probably 10 more people who don't know where to turn for support...that's us...and the education we get and give is amazing!! Where else could you get that, plus love, support and acceptance...

I am in the process now of talking to our local newspaper about doing an article on this website! Getting the word out so people can become more educated on thier rights! :D I hope it all works out!

I won't argue that the money's a nice benefit, but that's not why I come here. I do it mainly for support, because being in debt can be very time consuming and lonely, I have found, and I also do it to share what experiences I have in hopes to help someone else.

This is a site like many others springing up all over the web these days - one that pays members a small amount for their participation.

I would say, though, that for the most part, members come here for help and then stay to help others with the advice and knowledge they acquire here. The small monetary reward for posting is just icing on the cake. The true reward is the great feeling of helping others.

My reason for having so many posts? I can not stand the thought of someone coming here and asking for help and it going unanswered. And I will walk every person through it if I have to. My motivation? To see them come back and post the great things that are happening to them as a result of coming here. That's just me though. I'm here to help and see the great results these people get and I get chills when I read how happy they have become. When someone comes here and is desperate and depressed and asks for help, they get it. As the posts go on and they days go by, you will see the happiness that came back into their life. That is my motivation.

The reason I post here has absolutely nothing to do with money. I post here because this forum saved my life and there are so many others who need help as badly as I did when I came here. Also, I post because I have some wonderful friends I have met through this site that I know will be lifelong. The members here as well as the administrators are very kind and caring people and are true friends.

The points are helpful but are not my reason for continuing to post.

I have no way to express my feelings for everyone in this forum, if it would'nt have been for this site I would have never gotten out of the big mess I was in with all these PDLS. Everyone in this forum are here to help and support everyone going thru this terrible experience. I was alone with all this debt problems and thought i was never going to get out of it, and thanks to all of the wonderful advises i received from all my friends in this site i have learned to wake up everyday and not be afraid to deal with all my debt problems. This is a great place to be, to get knowlegable help and to help others with the same situation as all of us.

When you are staring at your pay stub syaing you make X$$ and then you go to your bank account and realize you have lost 3/4 of you paycheck. You feel the walls closing in, have no where to turn, no one to talk to and it just keeps getting worse. And for some unknown reason you stumble across this web site and you learn how to take control of your situation. The people here do not judge you and are in your same shoes and can completely understand everything you are feeling. I never want to feel that hopelessness and desperation again. I never want anyone to feel that kind of fear. Even if it is moral support, if I can help one person get through this hell and take control of their life, this is why I stick around here. I know I collect points, I will more than likely never use them. I save mine to donate for those who need them. Everyone needs help in a crisis and that is why I cam here and why I stay and what my points are for.

I found this site by accident when I was looking for a way to get me out of the payday loan cycle and the people on here helped me, encouraged me, and cheered me on. As time went on and I started getting things taken care of, I wanted to help to give back what I was being given and not only that, I have found I can get support and encouragment not only with getting out of debt, but with other issues too. It is nice to know there is someplace you can go and not be judged and where you can just be you. I love this place and I love the people here. Even though I have never met any of these people in person, many I feel like I know without meeting them. Those that come here are welcomed with open "arms". You won't find a better place or better people who honestly and truly care for one another as those on here! Love you guys and hopefully soon, will be back here a little more! Know that you all are always in my thoughts and prayers.

I agree with all of you 100% 8) , the feeling of helping someone in dire need is worth much more than the monetary gratification of helping easing someone's stress. I hope that the advice that I have given has helped sometime at times. :roll:

I thank god for this site everyday. I find myself sitting here all day reading everything and learning alot. Hopefully the advice that I do give out will help a desperate person to at least get them started to ease there minds and try to point them in somewhat right direction.

I agree-the points are nice, but its not why I'm here.

I tried to ask the same questions on Yahoo Answers before I found this place. Yahoo Answers is a SCARY place, lots of inaccurate info, people trying to sell you stuff, & worst of all you can just TELL they are all judging you.

Here, you know you'll get a good answer. If you can't get an answer they'll tell you how/where to go & get your answer. Plus, there is no judging as we are/were in trouble at some point.

I post here because I've been other places where you ask a question & it NEVER gets answered...you might spend DAYS waiting. Those days are so stressfull because you need that answer but don't know where to go. Here at least you get an answer soon.

Even if I don't have an answer, I like to give encouragement-telling people they are doing the right thing asking for help & someone will help them soon. That's how I was treated when I first came here & it meant the world to me!

just people helping people, support each other through tough times, offering and taking advice, this is a nice forum where folks can come and get help.
