You should register as that will entitle you to a free debt consultation. Someone should contact you either by mail or phone your preference and they will be able to discuss your options with you at that time.
Keep your chin up...don't let this get you down. There alot of people on this board that have been or somewhat close to where you are coming from.

I'm not sure if the credit card will go with another company either. Is this still with the original creditor, or with a collection agency?
As far as the other debt goes, if it was settled and paid, it should reflect that, or something to the effect of Settled for less, if not, you can dispute that if you have something saying this was settled.

I agree with bossy. If you paid the other card with a settlement then it should reflect as such in your credit report. I think it affects your score a little but it looks better than a charge off. It shows that you were making an effort to pay the debt and that is much more favorable than just not paying at all. As for the other, I too feel a consultation with a debt manager is a good idea.
