Thought this might be of interest to some of you...Because of this whole pdl mess, I have stopped my ach and have been using bill pay through my bank. Received this e-mail this morning...

Boy I messed that quote up. I am going to stick with bill pay. It goes along with the you are a valued customer I received from a PDL this weekend too. I just think it is funny that Cash Call has resorted to all kinds of tactics to get $$..I presume to stay afloat. In the past they have been so difficult now they are doing everyting they can to get you to pay them. I wonder if this Cali law suit is getting to them...

This is GREAT news Roxy! A $500 rebate??? I think you should rush right out and post your account info on a billboard so that everyone can see it! I'm just actually thinking about cash call. I think you all are right. They are trying to think of all kinds of ways to get money out of someone. They act like it is such a courtesy to you, but they are actually the ones who are privileged to confidential information. They should be offering things like brand new cars for that kind of info. :-) I know that NO ONE is getting my info ever again. It is too stressful just knowing that someone has access to my money other than myself.

PYB, that is ok...I was basically giving space for you all to add your opinions. I hope you get to get some sleep soon.

Morning..I would love to know that too. I did respond to the post..(Frogpatch I think) put on there. They are only using CA resindents right now but offered to give me the name of a lawyer locally who could help me. I am seriously thinking about it. If I could help others not get caught in the trap or help those in the trap get out...It would be worth it.

Volley, I am sure someone will fall for it and they don't really need me. But I hate to loose out on such a good offer. Oh wait..I went back to read the fine print...this is even better..

You got it!! I kow it should not suprise me, but I can not believe they would think I would change my mind agter I was the one who sent the revocation letter about the ACH. I am not going to lie, I would love to have $500.00 less to pay on that loan, considering the interest....but I know it would cost me more in the long run. What is the old saying..fool me once... I like to think I have learned something from this mess and am not going to repeat my mistakes.

Roxy - I fixed the quotes for you. :D

There is one option - Set up another bank account. Since you are going to most likely be paying them anyway, why not at least get the rebate? If you set up another bank account, and only put exactly the amount of your payment in each month, there isn't much Cash Call can do to mess it up. Tell the bank that you are opening the account to pay a creditor, and that you don't want them to have your normal account info. Tell them you don't want overdraft protection or anything on the account, and that only $X will be coming out of the account every month.

HELP! My husband and I made the huge mistake of getting cashcall loans...at the time it seemed like a good idea but now just like many others I regret it!

I recently received this e-mail from them...

I paid my full payment last month but am one month behind. My husband received the same e-mail.

Don't know what to do anymore. The calls at work are embarrassing, especially since they are rude and they give their name and business to the person who answers the call.

Do you think that they will probably sell our loans? I desperately hope so!

Saying this from personal experience.......i don't care how 'kind Cash Call MAY sound', THEY ARE NOT!! I know quite a few people who have defaulted loans, through them. Stay away from them!!

Sd, whish I did. Yes, I am current. I had a situation when I closed my account for the pdl's and they were idiots and I will admit I did not hurry to pay them but did. That was when the company got fussy with me and I refused to give them my account info. I finally spoke with someone who was sort of decent who told me about bill pay.

Hey, Roxy.....I'm excited!! Remember I posted, on this forum, that a CA 'owns' my loan from Cash Call? Well..I just made my SECOND payment with them!! My % rate, with this CA is 5%. I''ll be taken care of this pretty soon. I'm gald to hear " you're current" on your payments, however. My balance ALREADY went down...it's just a 'relief' to take care of something you had 'hanging' over ya!! Well......I wish you luck with Cash Call.

Goodluck Roxy, How long have you had the loan with them? I sent them an email and asked them what is up with offering that deal or a break to everyone not just customers who don't have automatic withdrawals. I am curious to see what they say, they probably won't respond. I told them it would be easy to close the bank account and send them a money order each month. LOL Which I would do if it came down to it.

When I initially signed with them I had ach, then with this pdl stuff I called to stop it and was doing what ever I couldnot to give out my account info. They told me I had to request to stop the ach in writing and I did...last month when I called the other day, they still had me listed as having ach. I may set up another account for them at a different bank and move money to it each month to pay them. Goudah suggested it. I do not know..I have to think about it some more. Anyway, I got the e-mail after I spoke to them and told them I was going to revoke my ach and sent the fax, but as of the otherday they still had me listed as haveing ach from the my old account..go figure

Ok,
Now I need advice. I haven't made my Sept. payment yet and have been getting called by CC. I told them I would moneygram them tomorrow but it would be better for me just to bite the bullet and do two in October. Are they going to have a cow--and will they default me? Anyone who's dealt with them before let me know what happens......

Oh Man!
I just got off the phone with them. They called me twice in 15 minutes, so I called back--and THEN, they called me again!!!!!! I had had it at that point, so I called back and demanded to speak with a manager. She apologized up and down for the third call and said it was a mistake (I bet) and I proceeded to tear into her. The upshot was that I told her it was harassment, since I had called back the second time.
I then told her that I can only make a partial payment today and would bring the loan current in Oct. She told me that I would still get calls daily until it was current--so I said that I will call them every morning at 6:01 am my time this month--and since I will still be getting calls, maybe I would just hold off till Oct. 18 and make two payments then.
What do you guys think?

Personal experience, dealing with Cash Call. They don't care WHAT kind of 'arrangements' they made with you. They will CONSTANTLY call. I'm just SOOO glad I don't have to deal with them anymore. And I DO 'feel' for those who DO have to deal with them. Cash Cal has so many defaulted loans, they are trying to get money anyway they can.

Fedup, I would end up being one they take to court. I am seriously thinking about opening a basic account at a local bank to pay them from. Than I can take advantage of the offer without worrying about giving out my account info. They do call constantly. I told them I would Western Union my last payment and I told them the date. They asked for an approximate time, I knew what time I would get off of work and added 30 minutes. They called me 15 minutes after the arranged time. And it just so happened I got out of work late that day.

Roxy, you are the BOMB!!!! Thank you!! I called them today, got a supervisor in Vegas, who told me that they would call me as often as they liked, and then I told him that the Dept of Corp would be involved as of this morning and he asked me why I was defaulting--which was funny, because I never said that, just I was holding off till 10/18. It's AWN!!!!!!!!

Ks, what a jacka$$. Using the advice from two other members, if you have the time, I would suggest you call them several times a day every day. Call them to remind them you will pay on the 18, call to be sure they noted this in your account, call to be sure they noted the second phone call, call to be sure they did not forget you will pay on the 18 and so on. I'll bet they love that. There are only so many people to answer the phone.

Turn about is fair play. I called them 9 or 10 times for three days to ensure they received the pmt. I als told them to please be sure to note my account that I placed a follow up call to be sure they pmt was received. I only quit because by the third day they were not amused. The became snotty saying the account was already notated from the last 10 times I called. On the last one I asked if I was annoying them, and before the guy cold answer, I said now you know how it feels and hung up.
