Credit Report help/Same account listed twice?

Also, in regards to inquiries on my credit. I have inquiries from companies that state it's for collection purposes, but yet I don't know what account it's for. It's not listed in my credit report, and I have not received letters from them. Anyway to get those removed?
A third question- I have received letters from collection companies but they are not listed on my credit report. Do I send them DV letters as well?
Thanks!!!!!
Is the acct that is listed twice a charged off acct? I know min
Is the acct that is listed twice a charged off acct? I know mine had the original creditor and the CA listed but was a charge off, i disputed both and original creditor took theirs off.
I think inquiries from a CA are very common. I also had the CA look at my report.
I would send dv letter to anyone who says u owe them money!! Make sure to send them return reciept also.
Good Luck,

same situation, but had done DV
'Guest and Ang, after years not checking out my report, I had the same situation, double accounts by original creditor; worse, new accounts opened in recent years (which I had no idea since i've been living with debit card).
I guess, since I've been ignorant to the CA letters, (due to hopeless feeling not having knowledge before finding this site), this might make CAs, who's been monitoring no activity in my CR in years, sending those claim letters, and created new/reopened account as I didn't response with DV back to them. Now Ang, pls help, I've sent DVs to all those CAs since August 2007. In my DVs I asked them to provide relevant proofs, otherwise to delete their claim in CRs. I got no response after 30 days. Do you have sample letter how to report this to CRA?
Also, I sent DV to Lyon Dougherty PA, for their claim which doesn't exist in my recent CR (except, their recent inquiry record), no response at all after 30 days. Do I need a next step in this case? Thx!
Well they don't have to actually send this information back in 3
Well they don't have to actually send this information back in 30 days but they do have to stop collections until the debt is validated. I would send them a second dv letter and demand the entries be removed from ur credit report until they are validated!
Look in the do it yourself section of this forum for the sample letters.
Good Luck,
Ang
