College put me in credit card debt

I learned of the pros and cons of credit cards in college, I was overjoyed of having plastic money on hand while away at school, but I mis-managed this and it all blew up in my face.

Long story short: I have about 8k worth in credit card debt and haven't made a single payment in about 7 months. I need all the help I can get. Please help!

What are my options? I think it should be wise to enlist the help of a credit consolidating service. Any good, honest ones out there? Any good stories? Recommendations please.
