Consolidating without a home to borrow againist

Anyone out there know of a way to consolidate lots of debt without being a home owner my husband and I are sinking in debt and would like to find a way to get it under control

What kind of debt are you trying to consolidate? Are you wanting to borrow money too? You mention being a homeowner and you can consolidate under a debt management program without being a homeowner.

Our combined debt ranges from student loans, credit cards, utility companies, car loan, (debt that my mother has charged using my social and name), medical bills
we do not own a home we would like to in the near future but right now we are so far into debt that we want to climb out and get things to a manigble position before adding anything new
