case dismissed

That is a good question. Did you find out why the case was dismissed?

Did you call to ask the court-house? Perhaps they can guide you or maybe call the collection agency?

I personally would NOT call the collection agency! Am i understanding u correctly that it was dismissed cuz u were not served properly??

Sorry about that! I misread what you said. I agree with Ang...DO NOT call the collection agency, but I would call the court & see if they can tell you what happens next.

My thinking was that if the case was dismissed for her not being served properly, couldn't they possibly server her properly & call the case back? Or would that be like double jeopardy (or whatever they call that).

That's what i think she is asking but i'm not sure on that! I'm sure someone will be around shortly who knows the answer to this! If not anwered by the morning i will PM someone to send them here!

What is relevant is whether the case was dismissed with (cannot be sued again), or without prejudice (can be sued again).
