Account Listed Twice on Credit Report

If a charged-off account is now in the hands of a collection agency, what are the laws in terms of reporting the account. There is an account I had with First Premier Bank that was charged-off for $722. It is now with Arrow Financial, who is asking for almost $1000. FPB and Arrow Financial are listed on my credit report, therefore having the same account listed twice. Both accounts are listed in the "Accounts" section, not any collection or public record section.

They will do that! You can challenge anything on your credit report as many times as you want. Chances are that it will stay removed. It is worth writing a letter about. Have you sent a debt validation letter to Arrow? If not, do it. There is a good template found on this website.
