What is Sifxpert and who is the person you are trying to reach? This is a debt forum for people trying to get out of debt. Could you possibly have been directed to the wrong site?

Hello,
He is pretty slow lately getting back to me also. I just signed up with him recently. I usually email him but the number I have is the one on his paperwork. I am sorry I could not be more help but I am having the same problem. Have you given him the retainer yet?

Okay, now I know what you're talking about. Didn't realize Sifxpert was a debt settlement co. and also had a board similar to this....
Just curious, how much of a retainer does this person ask for, and what percentage of your debt does he want for his fee?

His retainer fee is $500 and settlement fees are 20% of amount he saves you. He seems really knowledgable and I have read really good things about him. He is just not quick at responding. I told him he could take his retainer out of my account a week ago and it is still sitting in my account although he sais he did deposit it.

Hmmm... I have never heard of the fees being worked out that way. The settlement company I am/was using charged me 12% of the debt I owe. There was no retainer fee.
Well, I wish you luck, keep us posted on your progress.

I just regisitered so I could have a name other than guest. If you dont mind could you please PM me the name of the settlement company you are using and let me know what you think of them. I would like a backup in case this does not work with my current one. I am very nervous about this whole thing and do not want to be sued so it makes me nervous when someone does not get back to me right away. Thanks.

I would like to add my experience here since I have had similiar concerns. I started with sifxpert in April this year. I enrolled with 115k and I am almost complete with 2 small accounts left to settle. Luckily, I had family to help settle my debts but I would not have needed them since james settled 100k of my debt for 28k and I have only 15k left. My creditors were MBNA, Citi, Chase and Providian. MBNA was 60k and James settled for 9k. Most other companies I spoke to would not accept MBNA or Citi but so far, Sifxpert/James has done an incredible job but I definitely agree with you on calling. It takes a bit to get a callback although he emails immediately and at all times. Its obvious he is responding to emails while on the phone all day. I learned to just let him do his thing and when there is news for me he will contact me. The beginning of the program nothing happens for several months until your accounts are delinquent. Then all at once he calls with a list of settlements and a strategy at handling all if you can not afford all.
Just hang in there. Hes a very honest business person and personally, I think the rest of the companies are all out for the money. Another thing about James is that he allowed me to cover my fees after the settlements were paid. He will settle as low as possible since his fee depends on the settlement. A company that charges 12% flat rate has no incentive to settle as low as possible. When your check depends on it, you know you will put forth your best effort.
Hope this helps.

Guest, thanks for sharing your experience. I guess that is the problem I am having with this whole thing. I signed up with him last month and sent him a voided check for the retainer fee a week ago and it still has not come out of my account although he said he deposited. He does not always respond to my emails and it may take days for him to respond to some and some he may get to right away. I know it has not been long since I enrolled and cash has to accumulate now but I am nervous enough about going this route and the creditors are starting to call a million times a day now so I really just need him to answer my emails the same day and I would be happy. Can you please tell me if you think I am over reacting. Since you currently use him it is nice to hear that you are happy with him and I just want to make sure that I am not being taken for a ride. Thanks.
I can understand your wanting reassurance in regards to sifxpert
I can understand your wanting reassurance in regards to sifxpert. If you do a search in the search box you will read what other have said about him. I have read positive things about him, but one of the negatives is he is hard to get ahold of. Just keep trying is my suggestion.

Youre definitely not being taken for a ride. I was recently contacted via pm by another member on his forum apparently looking for a reference on sifxpert before enrolling. Appparently, sif denied the account for whatever reason so as his website states, he only takes clients that he knows he can work with. So, if you were accepted as a client, then you are indeed in good hands. I suggest you read through his forum and see what others have said about his services. There are so many positive posts about his clients success and not one negative comment out of over several thousand posts. He knows what he is doing. I can definitely relate to having a nerve wracking experience. You are paying him to worry for you so let it go is my suggestion.
I would drop out
