Dial up connection...

Ang..I feel your pain. My inlaws still ise it and finally las week we convinced them to change. My husband would stroke out any time we were there. And it is so slow..especially when you are used to the cable or dsl.

I know we are spoiled aren't we with roadrunner, I now I am. Just think when we first got on to the internet, at least for me it was dial-up and it was extremely slOOOOOOOOOOOOOw.

I know how you feel Ang I had problems with my roadrunner 2 weeks ago..sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't very frustrating. I had to wait a week for them to come out :twisted: They did give me 8 days of credit $7.00 for the inconveience (sp) generous of them huh.

Good point Ladybug, Ang, see if they will credit you..every little bit counts.

Hell credit?? They told me if i went over 20 hours they would charge me per minute cuz i only pay for that! I was like WTH?? This is NOT my fault i don't pay for dial up, i pay for dsl!! I was furious and she made a note of it....
It'll be fixed soon i hope and back up n running! And yes lady i DO remember when we first got internet but we've always had dsl so i never had to deal with dial up... it's horrible!

I remeber when I moved to the sticks and was on dial up. I was lucky if I could even load yahoo to check my email.

Ang, I am so sorry! My brother had dial up for awhile and it drove me crazy to be online at his house. I have gotten so used to having high speed that I don't think I could tolerate dial up. I hope you get your's fixed soon. I know that waiting is very frustrating.

All fixed and got higher speed!

Yea!! When I moved in here I had to wait a week...a WEEK...for the cable guy to come out...so I connected dial up for that time..cause no way could I live a week without my computer...well it took a week just to check email..LOL

I feel ur pain morning! That's how i felt, wasn't worth the time it took!

I DESPISE dial-up! I haven't had it for ages, and wouldn't go back on a bet. Can't even upload pictures on dial-up because it's SO slow. :evil:

You know guys this is how we are used to cable that we had a horrible snow storm 10 years ago, lost electricy in parts of our town for days and cable, there was an article in the paper that this guy literally chased down the cable guy when he was leaving his neighborhood after working there all day and begged him to fix his cable. How spoiled we have all become, myself included in that:)
