i had an at&t account in cali. but upon my second deployment, my comand sent letters for whom ever needed to discontinue service with any cell phone provider. at&t still continued to bill my accout and since i was unable to pay, it was turned over to palisades collection for 372.00. once i had returned home to ga, beleaveing the debt was takin care of. i recieved notice that a collection agency had taken over and demanded the full amount. afer which at&t was contacted and my deployment orders had been faxed also, ( still have all orders reguarding any and all deployment status ). and i was informed that there was no useage on that account and would be taken care of. but i still get letters from this collection agency, wanting to collect on that bill. and now my credit report is below par. does anyone know any corprate/24 hour hot line numbers or just the home page where account numbers could be entered, i could get as much info as possiable

Last month a collection report appeared on my wifes credit report. It was filed February of this year and yet we have not been notified by Palisades or have any idea what this is concerning. I too don't have a clue where to go. Any ideas?

I would suggest sending them a debt validation letter. You can find a good template via my signature link, be sure to send the enclosure with it. Send it certified mail, return receipt requested. You should be able to find a account number and address on your wife's credit report. If you can't find an address just let me know and I'll get one for you.

Thanks for the info. There was no address or phone number on the credit report or at least I couldn't find it. I'm new at this. If only I had learned earlier in life to monitor my credit. Anyhow, better late than never I guess. I found a couple of phone numbers with addresses but the numbers did not work so I'm not sure about the addresses. Can you help? Again? Thanks for being there.
