Is there any statute of limitations on collection of phone bills that have been terminated? I had a phone bill that wasn't paid and I haven't been contacted until now and it is 10 years later. Is that legal?

Welcome to the Community :D

So this debt went deliquent 10 years ago? And you haven't paid anything on it since? If this is true- it is most likely out of the SOL-doen't mean you don't still owe the debt, but, legally they cannot collect on it.

I had a CA contact me 12 years later on a hospital bill that I had paid, but no longer had the checks to prove it. I wrote them a cease and desist letter stating it was out of the SOL, and to not contact me again. Send this certified, return receipt, and make a copy.

Good Luck..KAren
