So my last pdl I am working with is cashtransfercenters. They are tough. Won't accept a penny less than what they think they are owed. I am going to send some correspondence to them, and also to my state's AG... Does anyone have their contact information? I have done a search on the site but see a lot of conflicting information out there. If anyone has their most recent address, fax number and e-mail address, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

big, good luck with them, my friend! Be sure to revoke any wage assignment. They will send one to your employer, okay? Just make sure you have it in writing. Fax it to them, email it to them, mail it to them. Keep a copy for yourself. Give a copy to your payroll person. They are so illegal it's disgusting and will try every trick in the book on you. Keep at them!

This is what you can expect from CTC. Once they try their secret weapon, the wage assignment, and it is unsuccessful they will , disguised as a different entity, send you a settlement offer. You may choose to accept it or not. That is up to you. Bottom line is that they are an illegal operation in the US operating out of Malta and British Columbia and have absolutely no legal way of collecting. So if you do not feel you owe them anything, like drugs, just say no!

Oh, frog. Isn't that putting it nice? I do believe it's safe to say that! God love this company. Just watch the wage assignment. That's their biggest weapon & it doesn't work 99% of the time. Unfortunately it does work 1% of the time. So just watch out for that. Otherwise, let them jump on a boat or plane and come on over to the states and ask you for money.
bigr, I'm going through the same mess with them. "Ty" who works
bigr, I'm going through the same mess with them. "Ty" who works in the Canadian call center for their collections, keeps calling me (The number that shows up on my phone is 604-587-6200, when you call it, you get "thank you for calling Payment Services"). He keeps telling me about the Malta law, I signed the agreement, etc etc. I mentioned the Washington State Laws, which he confused with the new law Congress passed protecting the military. The new law became effective Oct 1st. He seems to think the Washington law and the law Congress passed are the same thing, with the same effective date. Of course I told him in so many words that he's incorrect with that assumption. He gave me his fax number for me to fax him Washington State Laws, which I'm going to do tonight. He told me he wants to meet me in the middle. Okay, maybe I'll just ask him for half of what he owes me? hahahah. It's better than nothing I guess? Anyway, if you're getting calls from 604-587-6200, that's them. Their fax number is 866-809-4069. Also, another number Ty gave me is 866-715-4299.
Good luck brother. I hope it works out for you.

sub, watch these guys! At least they're speaking to you like a human being. But they will argue with you until the cows come home. They can't seem to understand that Malta law can go to hell. If "Ty" wants your laws faxed, by all means, fax "Ty" your laws. Whatever makes him happy. Idiot "Ty". But these guys are known for pulling the old wage assignment trick. Now, knowing your situation, it's not like they can send your "boss" a wage assignment. LOL! But just be on the lookout for them doing anything sneaky. And let me know what "Ty" has to say. You have more patience than I do. Once I argued for about 15 minutes regarding law, I hung up.

My wage assignment has been revoked. In conversations with them, they have all but admitted that it wasn't valid anyway.
You guys are right though, they have stock answers for everything. You signed the agreement, it is governed by malta law, yada, yada. They don't seem to understand that they can't collect on a debt that is invalid in the US, but governed by Malta law. I am more than willing to pay these people what I owe them, but they won't get a cent more. All they have left is to harrass me, and I pray to god that they use a US company to try to collect and they mess up, because I will bring the wrath of Zeus down on them if they do.

Hi bigr. I hope all of this ends for you soon. You seem to have made great headway with your pdls. Hopefully they won't harrass you too much. Did you give a copy of your wage assignment revokation to your HR dept. I know you may not want to but I've read that some of the members have actually had wage assignment honored, despite the fact that they sent wage revokation. Just make sure you are covered from all angles, as I'm sure they have some tricks up their sleeve.
