Hi... I was contacted by Legal mediation practice in regards to a pay day loan I attempted to make pay arrangements the rep refused and kept stating that would seek legal enforcement on my job or where I live, I then asked exactly what the process was as he mentioned jail.. I owe them the loan, I just needed to make pay arrangements... can they put me in jail for nonpayment?


No one can put you in jail for non payment. It is just a scare tactic. If that were the case everyone who let a bill slide would be in jail. We did away wiht debtor prisons a hundred years ago. If you tell us which state you live in , who the lender is how much you have paid back in total to the lender,, we will be able to help you.Is this internet or store front

The lender is Web Payday Loans - they have hired Legal Mediation Practice (Jacksonville, FL) to collect the debt. Original Loan Amount = $300 on 5/31/07. They are now saying I owe $625 + fees. I don't dispute I owe the $300 but he completely try to force me to pay today or have "legal enforcement" against me.
