Question about BBB response.

When you sent the debt validation letter, did you send it certified, return receipt? In it, did you put your address, or the other one, on the green card? I would think this would be suficient for the BBB, if you have a copy of the letter, and card sent to them, but I am not sure..Karen

Hi Roxy. I agree with bossy. If you tried to use your current address to apply, and they made you use an old address, then that isn't your fault, as you tried to give them the correct address. Plus, you did send the DV letter and included your correct address. I don't know very much about ARM and their collection tactics, but this is probably something they did just to say that they did try to send DV.

In the letter I used my current address. I am positive when I applied for the loan I did not use the address in FL. I have had 4 adddresses since then and I would have had to look it up. It is not one I remember becuase it has been so long since I lived there. I agree that they appear to be stalling. I put in my response to the BBB that they are stalling and thus denying me my leagal rights. My response from them pissed me off. If I can I will download it and scan it...it had interesting remarks about what they can do to collect a debt.

roxy, you're correct to put that in your reply to the BBB. Obviously what ARM did was pull information on you and it may have had your Florida address listed as your last known address (this just shows how accurate their record keeping/record gathering is). So they used this address. Obviously, they kept their incorrect information in their system, rather than updating it with your new address (that would have required them to READ what you mailed them), so they still have you listed as Florida. Dumb asses. So putting all this in your response to the BBB is totally correct. Let them know they are idiots and they are using an incorrect address and you did provide the correct one; however, they're still stupid. Is that plain enough? LOL! Dumb asses.

Absolutely, have them sen dit to your CURRENT address....they know better. :roll:

The funny thing is while I was writing my response I was thinking for the points Cannr would make and the quips Volley would add. Cannr, sometimes it is so difficult to overcome those years of training.

I thought I was kind of a "hard ass" before. Then I started dealing with this crap. Lord. It kind of makes you even "harder"! But, you know what?
