[size=6][/size]I went to a local PDL center call advance.. i am on disability, and now i am up to borrowing 400 dollars,, got into a mess.. . i called them and she told me the way i could make payments was if i filed bankrupcy.. 400 hundred dollars is half of my disability check.. what do i need to do to make payment arrangements.. do i need to put a stop on the check.. the lady said if the check was not covered they could press charges.. thanks,, karen

Well there are some people from Florida on here that will assist you in this matter. I do not think that what that woman said to you is right and personally I think they were incorrect by telling you to file bankruptcy. However I am not familiar with your state laws and would not feel comfortable in advising as such. I do know that a repayment plan is possible according to your state law. Hang on and someone will be around to help you.

TYhe first thing you would need to find out is if this place is operating as a CSO (Credit Service Organization) or as a payday loan business. That will determine what laws they must follow.
