If you will remember, AIS Services placed a negative mark on my credit report for a nice illegal pdl that was overpaid, refunded, and marked paid in full. After going around with AIS via email & also disputing this with the credit bureaus, I got up this morning to find an email from the credit bureaus regarding my "investigation". AIS Services has been DELETED from my report. So, anyone who posts (and there are a lot) regarding pdls (legal or illegal) turning you over to collections and it being reported on your credit report - yes, it may happen. However, yes, dispute the hell out of it with the collection agency and also all 3 credit bureaus. So, kash (you're so paranoid!)and jen (you were worried), even if somethings does hit your credit report, dispute, dispute, dispute. It does work.

Thanks, guys! I went ahead and emailed the CA again though. Man, I'm a hound! I told them I still haven't received anything in the mail! Hello! But, yes, it has been removed already. It said DELETED. Oh, I was so thrilled! However, I still want a letter mailed to me from them via USPS stating everything. Yes, I have email, but you know how I am! Ooohhh. DELETED. It was awesome just seeing it. Stupid for putting it on there in the first place, but nice to see it gone! :D

Oh, volley. Have no fear. I will. I saw the "deleted" from my credit report over the weekend. So Sunday night I sent them an email asking where is my letter? They did respond saying they sent it. I said I didn't get it. Mail it. I'll give them a few days. Then I'll email again. I don't believe they understand that I love to email!

Congrats Cannr. Now, I don't want to dig up old info, but when you first disputed with AIS, what was their response? How did this end up going from illegal loan, to going to AIS, to being placed on your credit report, to getting removed, and now expecting a letter from AIS?
I'm telling you, they had better not try this with me. I'm the wrong guy to do this to, especially if I'm covered by law. If you think collection agencies like to make calls, they haven't seen anything yet. I'll call these fools 24/7 until they fix it. I'll even call them at home. I don't really care. I really hope it doesn't get to this, but trust me, I'm not gonna take it sitting down.
Oh, was ranting. Back to my question, if this was an illegal loan, how did AIS respond? I mean how did they validate, etc etc?

sub, this was an illegal pdl. I actually OVERpaid the loan, filed complaints, got contacted by the illegal pdl, was refunded my overpayment, and the account was closed by the illegal pdl. However, then I got a phone call at work from AIS stating I owed xxx dollars to illegal pdl. After asking questions, I found they were a collection agency. They never sent me a thing. Just called me. I researched to find out all their information. I explained to the guy on the phone the loan was illegal/paid/overpaid/refunded/closed. He asked me to fax over documentation stating that. Which I did. I have ALL my emails from pdls. Never heard from him again. Goudah told me to check my credit reports. I did. There it was. So I began emailing the collection agency at every email I had and every fax number I had. One of them happened to be their corporate office. So I got a reply from one of my emails. We went back and forth, had the fax the information again, then was told by corporate that it was closed and would be taken off my credit report. This is the kicker though (and why I filed my complaints mainly). They never sent me anything. Nothing. No validation. No nothing. The illegal pdl just "sold" my account (idiots) to a collection agency who called me (no documentation) and then placed a negative mark on my credit report. Nothing in writing. No validation. No nothing. So watch out for them, sub.

Thanks, mperez! Glad to see you, by the way! :D Yeah, at least this experience does show that if they do get retarded and it ends up on your credit report, it is possible to have it removed. So it went all the way from applying for a loan to ending up on my credit report. So I have at least ONE pdl that pretty much "did it all"! LOL! At least I can share the experience now!

Yeah, I'm staring to wonder Cannr. I haven't heard a word from AIS, even though Aarowhead said it was turned over to them. AIS has an office in Washington, and if they screw this up I'll definitely sue them here. I don't have to mess around with trying to sue someone out of state. You can sue also Cannr, I think 1000 is the limit, but it's better than nothing. If they don't offer debt validation, they're in violation of the law.

debt, yes you can get this removed! These idiots didn't send me squat! I didn't even have the opportunity to demand debt validation! They just reported me, the idiots! I have an email of the lady you would need to send an email to regarding getting them off your reports since this an illegal debt. If you need it, let me know. Also, dispute it with all 3 credit bureaus. Let them know this is an illegal debt and no validation was provided.

debt, are they aware this is an ILLEGAL debt? And, they do have to give you debt validation, which is NOT just your stupid loan documents. That is not validation. Do you want the chick's email that I dealt with?

I see that the last post was last year but I have just been sent notices from SSM Group, CMG Group, Midland Financial and MW Marketing that my accounts, that I have overpaid on, have been sent to AIS for collection. I have learned through the various forums that payday loans are illegal in NYS, where I am from and I am taking steps to close my account and send C&D letters out. Is there anything else that I should be doing based on your experience with AIS? Any information would be appreciated.
