Still send validation letter if I know the debt is valid?

Is it an original creditor?? Or a Collection Agency?

Well, I would ask for validation to be sure that they are asking to collect the correct amount.If infact the debt is yours I am sure it will just not go away. Is it very old

I have some original creditors showing and some collection agencies.

All of the original creditors are 4-5yrs old.

Also I had another question... Can 2 entries for the same debt show? I have the original creditor and a collection agency showing for the same account... I thought it could only be one or the other.

Have u disputed any of those?? (the one with 2) Is the oc shown as a charge off? And i'm not 100% sure on this but i think the dv letter is for 3rd party collections! I'll ask someone to make sure and get back to ya on that.

I have disputed the collection company with Experian, TransUnion and Equifax but the investigation is not complete.

You are correct Ang. I believe the debt validation is for a third party collector.I actually thought that is what Cheyenne meant.

I was just asking cuz at one time i had a collections agency and the oc who had charged it off reporting. I disputed both and the oc removed thiers but the CA is still on there and it really drives me crazy! I want it OFF!! ha ha
