Ok i have been sucessful for a few paid off collections getting deleted off my credit report. I would email the CEO of the company after numerous of letter writing and no response. The CEO of the companies would email me back and have my account deleted off my credit report. Now Wachovia is a very very big organization. I have 2 accounts with them. One was in bankruptcy which will be removed in 2009. I also have a joint accout with my younger brother. He over drew the account 1600 and it went to charge off status. They offered me a settlement of half the amount which i paid in August. I have been sending out letters to ask of a goodwill adjustment delete. NO one has answered my letters. I am very nervous about emailing the CEO of Wachovia asking for the request, mainly becasue i settled the account, instead of paying it in full. Can anybody give me advice of what to say in the email i want to write him. Now i cant get another checking account with Wachovia, becasue as they say i am a HIGH RISK customer, but i do have a private student loan with them. Should i put that in the email as well? Any advice would be really helpful

You could say that you're trying to get your financial affairs back on track, and although you were only able to settle the account, you do have a student loan with them that is in good standing, have always been happy with their services, etc., and you would be most grateful if the goodwill adustment delete request would be honored.

I'm guessing one of three things will happen... You won't get a reply, you'll get a reply that says, "No" or they'll do it for you.

It is definitely worth a shot.
