Wage garnishment in PA
Date: Wed, 10/17/2007 - 08:39
If I am a PA resident where wage garnishments are not allowed except for child support or taxes, but work in NY state, can a creditor get a garnishment against my wages. Does it go by residency or what state you work in?
Wow! That is a good question. I don't know the answer, for sure,
Wow! That is a good question. I don't know the answer, for sure, but I would think that it would have to go by the state in which you reside in. Hopefully someone will be along shortly to give a little more of an educated answer! :-)
Paul, where do you see anything about a notice ot a wage assignm
Paul, where do you see anything about a notice ot a wage assignment? This is a post about a garnishment regarding living in PA and working in NY. It is also 6 months old. Nothing involving H?R or payroll departments.
