how can i make a payment with a credit/debit card?

Hoe you can help. I recieved a call from someone saying that she was a lawyer and that she was going to have me arrested and brought up on federal charges in refeerence to my payday loan from Aarowhead. I told her that i had to close my bank account down because my check book was lost. I asked her if i could have their number where i could talk to somebody and she said no. Have your attorney contact me. I told her that i wanted to pay but she said to last. Can she really bring me up on federal charges for this. I live in Baltimore, MD. Please help me. I am afraid.

Rene , first of all no one is gping to arrest you. People do not get arrested for defaulting on illegal pay day loans. please do not be afraid. these are scare tactic that these companies use to try to scare you into paying,. Tnhe tatcics they use are also against the law . I will post the laws for pay day loans for your state. do you have any other loans?

Hi Renee. Hugs to you, for getting such a nasty call!

First of all, you CAN NOT be arrested because of debt. This is a commonly used scare tatic, and it is illegal.

Did she leave you a phone number? What came up on caller id? If you give us the numbers, we can track down an address for you. You need to send them a debt validation letter ASAP! And you need to tell them to no longer contact you via phone.

Hey Renee, you cannot be arrested! also, I read up on arrowhead (testimonials from others who have dealt with the company) and they love to bully people! seemingly their main tactic is to scare people, rest assured you will be ok. Kashzan provided some great information and the best thing of all is that the loans aren't even permitted where you are...take it easy and hang in there (easier said than done I know), you'll be ok, lots of folks in your corner on this forum :) :)
