Yes, either this is a ploy to mess with you ( i don't think so)
Yes, either this is a ploy to mess with you ( i don't think so) or they somehow got a payment drafted from your old bank somehow. when did you last communicate with this pdl company? and how recent was did you close your old account?
think it's a good idea to start an account where only you have access to it! good move
If you just closed your account, and the payment crossed, the PD
If you just closed your account, and the payment crossed, the PDl does not know yet that the ach was not honored.

i do all my calls through ip relay...im deaf. I talked to them a week ago and said i was closing my bank account and would like to mail in payments instead. they informed me the only was i could mail in payments is if i was in collections..i said fine..put me in collections then. They did agree not to charge my bank account in the meantime...and you have the ability to print out conversations on iprelay so i have it in print

Oh Boy, You told the PDL that you were closing your account. UGH. They probably went in and hit yur account before you even closed it.Never tell them you are going to close an account. They will go right in and clean you out.You need to remember that these are illegal companies, they will say and do anything.

Glenda you will need to check with your bank asap. My bank closed my account also as I requested and the following week I had 4 ipdls hit it and force it back open and the bank paid...to make a long story short after that they couldn't close the account because I was nsf and I ended up oweing the bank a small fortune...please verify with the bank that this is not happening to you.

Do check your bank. These pdls can be very sneaky. But, I tend to think like Kash. It takes about 3-4 business days for them to receive word that the funds are not honored. But what is funny is that they went ahead and renewed the loan. How many days was it after they say they received the payment that they let you know your loan was renewed?
BTW, good idea to open just a savings account that you and only you have access to.

Good. So they haven't forced your old bank account open. That is good news. So everything must have been crossed up when you closed the bank account. I guess they will be taking back their renewal offer, now. Darn, I know you were wanting very badly to get another loan with them! :)
Then it sounds like their renewal notices are automated and you
Then it sounds like their renewal notices are automated and you will likely be hearing from them soon with them screaming 'Where's my money?!' :P
reply
Glenda, what has apparently happened is that the pld companies are on an "automated" system. I have had many, many that sent me an email stating my payment has been received and then stated the next debit date. However, payment was never received. It's all automated. It will take them a few days to realize that the debit was rejected. Then you will receive an email stating "We did not receive your payment. Please contact us." So expect this sometime soon. Good that your bank did not force your account open! :D

Cannr is right, I had several PDL's emailing me saying my payment was received, but it hadn't been taken out of my account yet. Then when it actually was taken out, I received another email.
