This is what they sent
"We're NCA and we get respect, your cash and your jewelry is what we expect".
So I fired back
"Now get ready, cause this ain't funny,
my name's subsailor and I got no money".
Okay, so it wasn't like that, I'm a Beastie boys fan, couldn't resist.
Anyway, I'm asking them to validate. Anyone had any success with these guys concerning illegal loans?? I mean, how do they validate?
BTW, Aarowhead originally told me it was going to AIS. They should have stuck with AIS, because they are at least licensed in Washington State.
These payday loan companies are so stupid. It's a wonder they're not all out of business by now.

sub, I do believe we are just riding along in the same boat! I have been turned over to National Credit Adjustors for an illegal pdl. I did send them a debt validation letter, of which I did include the fact that "I'm sorry you purchased an illegal debt which is legally uncollectable". Had to throw that in there. This was, I know, about 30 days ago. Haven't heard a word from them at all. I'm going to send them a "Hey, remember me???" letter as a follow up. Probably will never hear from them again. They purchase debts. Sorry about their luck on purchasing illegal debts that can not be collected. They just wasted their money in my mind! So don't be surprised if you don't hear from them. Personally, I'm a hound. So I'm going to send a 2nd letter to them.
I'm gonna send the letter off on Monday. Gonna sleep in tomorrow
I'm gonna send the letter off on Monday. Gonna sleep in tomorrow. Don't they have 30 days or so to respond?
Yes, sub,I believe they have to respond to you within 30 days. I
Yes, sub,I believe they have to respond to you within 30 days. I know Arrowhead is something else, their collection tactics are less than desirable, so I'm not surprised they sold your debt to someone else who, by the way, doesn't seem to have good rhyming skills ;) good luck to you please let us know what happens.
cannr...I think you're one of the first people i've read on this forum to send a follow up letter! interesting thought. these loan companies just hate it when we are informed don't they? oye
There is a great follow up letter to your first debt validation
There is a great follow up letter to your first debt validation letter up here in the DO IT Yourself section....
Sub-Do you need a good DV letter?? I have one that rocks! Just let me know.
Also, just a point to clarify, its is YOU that has to respond in 30 days and the collection agency does not have to respond back to you in 30-days..see below:
Timeliness of Validation:
fdcpa Section 809(b) requires that debt collector, upon receipt of a dispute during the validation period, "cease collection of the debt, or any disputed portion thereof", until validation is mailed to the consumer by the debt collector. As long as collection activity is ceased, the debt collector make take as long as they need to validate the debt. The FDCPA does not limit the time in which a debt collector must verify a debt by a certain number of days.
If you dont hear from them in 30days, send a follow up letter but there isnt a hard and fast rule that they have to respond within a certain time. :(
Thanks for clearing that up Volley. :-) I thought that the CA ha

Oh, thanks volley! I know someone else was asking that same question! Good to know that they can TAKE THEIR SWEET TIME! But, gee, we better get on it within 30 days or "no go"! That's okay. I'll send my "Hello! Remember me?" letter. And, volley, I believe sub already sent his DV letter out. Don't know if he used one of ours or not. I don't remember.
