What do i do now/ They seem to think this validates my debt doos it? The information they gave me from my original loan seems to violate Florida law. Like interest rate allowed and rollover the loan.
They seem to be taking the stance that they sold the loan so now they have nothing to do with it.
Should I now contact Icollect? I already filed a BBB and Attorney General complaint on them as soon as I got this letter.
Please help on my next move. From what I see on this site Icollect will now get a third party to attempt to collect this debt.
I have already payed over $500 to arrowhead since July. $90 every 2 weeks. They have rolledover my loan many times which is illegal in FL. After reading Fl payday laws they have overcharged me on the original $300 loan.

guest, if that is all they sent you, they did not VALIDATE the debt. They provided you with your loan documents. So what. That is not validating a debt. I do believe that I Collect purchases loans (?). Maybe/maybe not. However, I would wait for I Collect to contact me and then slap a debt validation on them. They MUST validate the debt. Not just send you your loan documents.

I agree with Cannr, they to me seems like they are trying to fool you into believing that this debt is validation. I would also wait to hear from your state's attorney generals office and I would also be curious to know how they respond to your complaint.

They will be violating both state and federal law. Have you filed complaints on any of these companies yet? You have the right by law to request debt validation from a company trying to collect a debt. A lot of companies (the illegal ones) will get a debt validation letter and you'll never hear from them again. You're best bet is to file complaints with the BBB, the FTC, and your state AG, if you haven't already. And keep all documentation that you've received and that you've sent.

Yes I filed and they sent me this letter. I filed on Arrowhead and Icollect for both BBB and AG. That why Arrowhead put in the letter for me to remove my complaint but they seemed like they wouldn't do anything to stop Icollect from collecting and put it all on them and told me to report my BBB and Attorney general for Icollect which I already did.

Ross, I totally bypassed Aarowhead. I tried to work out a plan with them, they said no. They sold my "debt" to collectoins maybe 5 days after it was due. I'm asking the CA to validate. I don't think they will, I'll probably never hear from them again.
The 2 other companies that I sent validation letters to, one gave me a refund, and the other stopped contact with me altogether. So far so good.

ross, if the collection agency hasn't validated the debt yet (how long has it been since you requested it?). Send a follow up letter to them asking again for debt validation. As sub posted above, he never heard from one of his companies again. Send a follow up. Do not remove any complaints you have filed against either of these companies. As a matter of fact, if they never validate at all, check your credit report and be sure nothing is showing up on there. If there is a negative mark from one of these companies, you can dispute it with the credit bureaus, but you can also rip these companies "a new one" and file complaints against them regarding that. The best thing you can do right now, where we stand so far, is to send a follow up letter and see if you hear anything back from them. But be sure to check your credit report and make sure nothing is showing up on there. If you do check, and there is something on there, come back and post and we can take it from there, okay? :D
