Hi Karmen! have you used the free consultation that this site offers? that may be a great start if you haven't yet... I sure hope your family members are more understanding than your other creditors. I'll pm you as this site isn't allowing me to put my full response here. good luck! and welcome

Debtstinker has given you some good information. You are in good hands. Are you doing the little things like clipping coupons and buying bulk groceries while they are on sale? This little things add up quickly. You may want to think about car pooling to save a few bucks on gas. Examine your situation more closely and see where you can make a few cuts in your budget, you can put those saving in a "get out and have fun jar" Have everyone in the family participate, every cent counts and if it is for the whole family, the whole family should participate.

I think that those are great ideas. Another thing I do is shop at 2nd hand or goodwill stores. You will be amazed at the things that you can find for little or nothing. If your kids are small then buying their cloths there can save you a ton of money. Also, Christmas is coming up, and if your kids are small then you can get some used toys, etc, which will also save you a small fortune. One other thing I would recommend is to sit down with your husband and try to work out a budget together. To get out of debt will be a joint effort, so you might want to get to know what your debits are like. You may even be able to see little money savers within your current budget that your husband can't see, either. Good luck, and let us know what is going on. :-)

Yes, Fedup, never thought about where Karmen could cut, and you don't think about that stuff until you are faced with it. Coupons and budgeting will add up for you if you can stick with it. It isn't always easy at first, but you TOGETHER can do this!
