I live in PA and I have 11 Payday loans. One of them is MTE Financial, and they just called me at work today to ask for $325.00 by this Friday. I have paid 4 refinance fees of 90.00, and a $50.00 pay down and $90.00 refinance fee. What do I do? Do I pay them, are they even legal in PA? What about my other payday loans. Help with MTE first. Thanks

krist, you wouldn't believe how many d/b/a's they use. And, I also encountered what you encountered when dealing with them via the BBB. They flat out lied. Totally lied. Big time lied. Was I surprised? No. I was mad! But this is just how they are. What can we expect from an unlicensed/illegal company? Honesty? Doubt it. They'll lie until the cows come home. Awful, awful, evil, evil. Please do forget about them until they drop off the face of the earth. Which I do so hope will be very, very soon.

I also had pdl with MTE (United, 500 fastcash, payday loan yes, one click cash, paycheck today) I settled with 500 fastcash because I was tired, in the middle of moving, then afterwards I started receiving phone call but since I le the answering machine answer they would hang up, now that I have move and gotten a new number I have not heard from anyone (we asked the phone company not to give out our new number) in the meantime I have heard from the Financial Reuglations Office n Florida and I just finished faxing every document and copies of emails received from these pdls. and they are acting up and checking them out. The person that I spoke on the phone from Tallahassee told me they were going to crack down on these illegal pdls. Itold her also that I had settle with 3 and had received refunds but she also wanted all documentation that I had on them. So hopefully something will come out of all these complaintsto the AG's office.! By the way I have overpaid on all of these pdl so I don't feel any remorse about not finishng paying them off. (I have done so with all the overpayment!

I got an email from tim(at)payday-loan-yes.com today about a problem with my checking account. Well they should have a problem because I closed my account and by the way I had a loan with Paycheck Today not payday loan yes. That just shows you that they are all connected and apparently can't even send an email from the right company. I sent him my letter back about them being illegal. I haven't heard anything back yet today so we will see.

Thankyou for responding with numbers to mte. Dont know for sure if thats them because im calling late in which a breaf message comes on and than disconnects. But today just when i thought i was done with my payments they took a wopping 140.00 from my account. I dont feel thats right because 50 plus 90 four times seems to be enough. It was only 300.00 that i borrowed. All this adds up to be 550.00 dollars. Wow what a rip off. They are so horrible. Tomorrow i will try to contact the numbers that was giving to me and hope i achieve something. They just have to be wrong. Another thing when they take the money from the account there's no number. Bad business. After this im going to file ach with my bank against them for taking out this 140.00. If by any chance you come up with any other numbers please let me know. Thankyou for your help!!!! Maybe we can turn this frown upside down.

Try this information. I'm giving what I have when I dealt with them. The phone number and fax number are correct, as is the email address. They will get whatever you send them at the above address if mailed. Also, they will get any email you send. If you can't get through on the telephone, fax them or email them. They will get it. I promise that.

No, until I was tiring to find their web site and found yours I didn't know any of this. I don't know what to do. You told someone else about some letters. How do I get one of these letters? Can they be faxed to me?

nel, I can post a thread that has a copy of the letter for you to follow, however, they will not stop daebtiting your accout. The only way to stop the debiting is close your account...We can help you with all this. I would suggest you start your own thread so you can find your information more easily and we can find you to answer any questions you have. WOuld you post what state your in, which companies you borrowed from, how much you borrowed from each and the total of how much you have paid to each. We can help you deal with all you pdl companies and help you get out of this cycle.

Here is some information on closing your account.

On the main page of this fourm where all the different posts are listed....click on "new topic" on the top right side of the page and you can start your own thread..a thread is what you are posting your messages to right now...only if you click on new topic and post, it will start your own thread and it will show you under the author column which makes it easier for you to find you and us to find you.

Here are the Payday loan laws for Missouri (just select your state),
http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/explain-pdls-laws.html

and there is this as well...

Internet based companies do need an MO license.

Of course as Cannr stated MTE will not be licensed in any state...I am not sure about payday one....

of course they are going to say that.they are illegal which means they cannot charge interest.all you have paid is way over, you should get a refund, but with MTE they will fight you tooth and nail.

Just called Cash Net USA to set up payment arrangements.
Did not have to. Received four more extensions. I called today July 17 2009. They will no longer be doing payday loans for pennsylvania. I was told it had something to do with the laws in PA changing. I was also told if you are in PA you will get extensions if you call. Hope this helps.

I live in Tennessee and I just got a call from CRS (Credit Recovery Service) trying to collect a debt for MTE financial. They told me that they were taking me to court and that I had 24 hours to make an arrangement with a debit card so that they could debit my account each month on the date of payment. Should I do this? The account was in 2006

do not give them anything as MTE is totally illegal.CRS is a bottomfeeder collector.file AG complaints against CRS.also tell them you won't speak to them again until you receive something in writing.btw, they are lying to scare you into paying a debt you don't owe.they can't and won't do what they threatened.

Hello, I am dealing with a company saying they are investigating a loan I took out 3 years ago. The company is G and A Investigative Services. They said MTE will take me to court for not paying. I remember paying them some of the amount but can't find my records and I had to close my account because of fraudulent activity so they were unable to take money from me. Is this legit? Should I settle with this investigative company? They said I took out $250 but I know I made at least 2 payments they want me to settle for $220. What should I do? Thank you!

again do nothing until you see something in writing, and i mean a collection letter sent via snail mail.not email.MTE is totally illegal, and this place is breaking the law with their threats.do not pay them until you see something in writing.btw they could have been the"fraudulant activity" on that account as they could be MTE themselves and have numerous alias's they go by.
