Business Collection Call from McCarthy Burgess & Wolff I

We were running a real estate website and for advertisements we make a anual contract with online yellow pages. As per contract we were supposed to pay 250$/month but we were not because our business failed. Now McCarthy Burgess & Wolff Inc
is asking for some $3000+ interest. We signed the contract as a manager on a LLC will they can put on our personal credit or business credit. Can they take us to court. Please reply me. Thanks in advance.

Many contracts to small businesses include some form of clause that holds you personally responsible for the debt in the event the company folds...this might be legit. I'd advise you consult an attorney.

I signed the contract as a manager and that time I was working for my company ( w2 ) but we were not successful and that company is owned by my wife. Now they are sending collection letter under her name. So first line of action you suggest contact them with debt verification and see their point how they are trying to collect from wife. Or at lease get their point of view.

Check your state's corporation laws because in states like Delaware, they can not go after you personally for anything, they have to attack the company for everything; hence why most companies are incorporated in Delaware.
