It is a voluntary thing that you sign giving a pdl the right to go to your employer if you do not pay , and they try to get the money from your paycheck. They are strictly voluntary and can be revoked at any time.

Wage assignments are kind of like a garnishment, only they are voluntary and not court ordered. They can be revoked at any time. Also, unlike garnishments, they can take any amount out of your check. Garnishments are capped federally at 25%.
