Could someone please tell me where to find out if a pdl store or online site is licensed? Specifically I am looking for 10dollar payday who also goes by quickest cash advance.com.
If anyone has any information on them i would greatl appreciate it.
Thank you so much

i2, welcome! :D I can tell you that 10 Dollar Payday and Quickest Cash Advance are d/b/a's of MTE Financial. No, they are not licensed/legal in any state in the US. What state do you reside in?

cannr....Thank you for the kind welcome...you have lightened my heart so much with that bit of information ;) Sadly I am in Wisconsin which seems to have little to no regulation on payday loans or internet loans..however if i read the information correctly they must atleast be licensed in the state to collect or give loans.
My question now is if MTE is a licensed financial in WI (which i am unsure of) and those are dba's of does that give them legal ground? I am not even sure if that made sense but I am tired of fighting these people.

I should have backed up and given a bit more of the story. There were 9 pdl taken on my account, not by me but by my bf who had access to my account, paid bills etc out of the account.
I wound up almost 3500 in debt because of them, yet i didnt know til I was completly overdrawn and he could not get another loan to cover the OD charges. (yes i trusted way to much)
I went to the bank and had all the pdl's returned to the original lenders, then finance charges were returned to me. From there we put a block on all of them and i signed paperwork stating that i didnt take these loans. I still wound up having to close that account and open a new one due to so many messed up charges. Now one of them 10dollar payday is trying to come back and say that they are going to sue me etc through a lawyer cignarale. I had the bank go back and pull up the paperwork to fax this attorney to show loan returned and that i signed stating no more ach payments would be made on it, but when they pulled it up it came up as quickest cash advance.
Yes it is a messed up situation, but so far have battled my way though. This one just left me really lost and frustrated as there are different dba's attached to the company.
Thanks again cannr for all the help and info.

i2, honey, rest assured. They are NOT licensed/legal in any state in the whole US. 10 Dollar Payday, Quickest Cash Advance, MTE Financial (whatever name they decide to use today) is not licensed/legal anywhere. They have NO legal ground on which to stand. You do need to do something regarding your bank account though so that these people can not debit you any longer. i2, they will debit you forever. Please trust me on this one. I have dealt with d/b/a's of MTE. More than one. They are relentless on hitting your bank account. If you have any questions, just post! :D

i2, I just saw your last post. Must have been typing as I was typing! No, you're fine. You faxed them information (which honestly you didn't even have to do) to show them what you've done. i2, you honest to God don't have to "prove" anything to them. They are 100% illegal. And they don't have an "attorney". Good God! No. No. No. I have a list of over 20 d/b/a's that MTE Financial uses. They use this trick to confuse people also. They are very sneaky and very ruthless. As long as they can not get any more money from you, you are good. They will try to hound the crap out of you via telephone; however, only deal with them via email. There is no reason to speak with them over the phone. And you want every single lie they tell you in writing.

ok well that is a huge relief..as of yet it has not been sent to them the bnk just pulled the info up yesterday for me. But when i first called this attorneys office it did say the legal offices of something cignarle.
the original loan i believe was for 260 or 300 and they are trying to collect 763. NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!!
but as i said i now have more ground to tell them off which is a huge relief.
I did have to finally tell them not to call my place of work anymore or I would sue them for lost wages and damages.
