national arbitration letter
Date: Fri, 10/26/2007 - 07:05
I went to my parents house a couple months ago and my mom gave me a letter from a debt collection company that said that they were taking me to National Arbitration and that a award could be entered against me. I didn't get the paper at least a couple weeks after it was sent to my parents home, where I have not lived for 7 years. The paper was not dated anywhere, nor did it say when this "arbitration" was to take place. Don't they have to at least notify me at my proper address, and send it to the right person, and let me know when the letter was sent/written?
I just sent a validation letter to the law firm handling this account. Anyone have any idea what might be going on here? Thanks!

the Law office is Stewart and Associates, and they are located in Suwanee, Ga. The laetter states that this was a mbna credit card, and it went to First Select, and now to Credigy. I sent them a validation letter and the only date listed on this letter is attached to the National Arbitration letter, and it is dated October 11, 2006.
