Anthony and Morninstarr430, it is far a student loan that I got in 1985. I defaulted on it the next year but was paying on it all along. In the early 90's I was paying on it and it went into default again. In 2000 it went to a law firm in chicago and I was paying on it for about 2 or 3 years. I went bankrupt in Dec. 2003 and my attorney sent that attorney something and I have not heard anything since 2003 untill now. A collection agency called, will here is how some of it reads:
FMS INC
RE: ACCORD ONE STUDENT LOAN TRUST
CUSTOMER NO: ########
ACCOUNT OF: ********** *****
LENDER: ACCTS TRANS FROM HUBBA
GUARANTY AGENCY: HEAF
SCHOOL:
ACCOUNT NO: ######
TOTAL BALANCE DUE: $6,401.68
That is about the jest of it. I have been fighting and paying on this student loan for almost 25 years. It has went from one place to the other and I bet I have paid at least 3 times what I borrowed in the first place. I do not know what to do. I just got this letter today. I am num,agian, I am num.
