Nope...unless maybe if you are a minor, then I am not sure. But in general, a CA can't reveal information about a debt, only that they are looking for a person. Doesn't mean they don't do it though.

Well if ur a minor than u can't legally enter into a contract sooooo.... the contract would be null and void!
My son got pre-approved for a credit card when he was 14!
And i'd think that a CA can NOT tell ANYONE, any 3rd party of ur debts!

They just pulled his CR and didn't see (or didn't care about) his age. Heck they may have even knew and was counting on him maxing it out (hoping for the irresponsible youth) and then make the parents try to pay.

Yeah, but why would a company offer a credit card to someone who cannot enter a legally binding agreement? Doesn't make sense.

After googling I found "For most other purposes, the age of majority in the U.S. is 18, except for 4 states with the age of 19 and 2 states that retain 21 as the age of majority.
For the purposes of educational debt, there is no such thing as a minor defense. You are treated as an adult regardless of your age.

Not so. Regarding contract law, an agreement entered into by a minor is "voidable" but not "unenforceable". When the minor comes of age, then the minor can "avoid" the contract within reasonable time. But if the minor doesn't avoid the contract, or if s/he does anything that otherwise ratifies that contract (say, by making a payment), then the contract becomes valid and enforceable. Also, time itself can ratify a contract -- a minor that turns 18 and never disaffirms the agreement, cannot wait until he's 25 and then decide to avoid it.

I did stray off the subject a bit. A CA may be allowed to call your parents to get your whereabouts or ask them how to get ahold of you. But they really should not be discussing the account itself, or relaying messages through your parents that indicate a debt owed.
