Living Almost Large is maintained by Anonym and she has been blogging for one year with the motivation to become "financially more secure" (she has got student’s loan and a mortgage). As she puts it "I've never been in credit card debt, but I did have a student loan and car loan. I am trying to balance having debt with growing financially. While I'm debt averse, I am learning to balance having some debt with saving. I am also trying to become more financially savvy!"
She generally covers almost all aspects of personal finance in the blog.
She has got a very uncommon future-plan with her blog. As she puts it, she wants "to show how a young married woman moves from childlessness to having kids and a family" via her blog.
Some Financial tips for People in Debt:
1. "Credit cards aren't the problem. It's the spending habits of the user. Cutting up the credit cards are necessary for people in credit card debt. But for some people CC usage can be managed. It should be treated like a checking account. Don't charge anything you cannot afford to pay cash for with what's in your real checking account. Treat it like a debit card and you won't run into trouble."
2. "Adjustable rate mortgages are not evil. It's when they are inappropriately used that they are bad. Know and understand your mortgage whether it's a fixed rate or adjustable mortgage."
What is your opinion?
