No Phone

This is just an idea Anthony...first of all you should be commended helping your parents and paying the expenses!! secondly, you may want to look into a free online phone service, i believe you can have a phone number and the calls will be directed into your own online voice mail. maybe look into net zero? I read this option somewhere and people use this to alleviate unwanted calls. I'm hoping that someone who has used a service like this will be along to let you know if it works. I'm looking into it for I do business online sometimes also i get those lovely collection calls too! so it would be good for dealing with those.
when you say debt sites what do you mean? are you wanting to consolidate?
Also, have you spoken with your creditors maybe seeing if they'll work with you? without knowing what debts you have it's difficult for us to help you further. I know you don't have a phone right now, so maybe look into companies online and use the search bar on this site too to see. I'll try to find out more information for you :) i'm also hoping someone will be along soon to help you out and give you some more ideas! hang in there

Anthony, I do hope that you do not mean pay Day Loan companies, as debt sites to help with your debts. This is not the way to go. Please clarify what you are wanting and maybe we can help.

debtstinker-Do you mean VOIP? Chances are if they have no phone, they probably have no internet service either.

You can check with local charitable organizations as most offer help with utility bills.

Yes there should be community based organizations that may help with utility bills. we have some here and they are wonderful. it is on a needs basis and I have had clients tell me that they have had help with utility bills.

Welcome to the Community Anthony :D Are you talking about your debt or your parents debt? If you are talking about consolidation or making arrangements on the debt, your name has to be on the debt before they will talk with you, or your parents give permission to them.

As for the phone, you can get a phone line here for a couple of dollars a month with the phone company if you are on disability, have little income, etc.
