Hi guys! I love the holidays, and with the holiday season here, you will be seeing a lot of emotional posts from me about how wonderful I think life is!

So tomorrow is Halloween, in my mind the official start of the big season.

Are you guys going trick or treating, or are your kids? If so, what are you or they going to be? My 8-yr-old boy got a really ugly skeleton mask that bleeds. It is absolutely hideous. He's going to wear that and a black cape and claw gloves. It is a spooky costume, I'm pretty proud of this one! I'm going to cheat a little..I'm going to wear his football pants and pads. I'll put my Peyton Manning jersey over it, and wear Andrew's helmet. He's 5'0..Yes, he's huge for an 8-year-old! I'm very petite, so I really think with the helmet on no one will know I'm an adult! Think I can get away with it? My husband thinks I'm nuts, but he's wearing a dumb mullet wig! Why shouldn't I do it? The extra candy will be wonderful.

OMG Fins!
ha ha ha
I say "GO FOR IT"!!
As long as u plan on sharing the candy with us!
My grands 5, is going as Shirley Temple and the baby 1 is going as Minnie Mouse. The Shirley Temple costume is absolutely precious and she has curly curly hair only dark not blond as she was!
Can't wait to see them all dressed up!
:D
Let us know how u make out Fins!
Ang
P.S. A few years ago my son dressed up as Joe Dirt! He also has a mullet wig and wore a flannel plaid shirt and we cut the sleeves off, gave him a tatoo! It was hilarious! People still talk about it today!
P.S.S. Why is blond with an e a bad word?? Am i missing something here? lol

krist, you're not the only "boring" one! LOL! I go to my parents house with my dogs to help hand out candy. I don't get any kids here. But that doesn't last long, so then I come home and watch scary movies with the dogs! I'll be thinking of you watching movies, too!

My kid is going out to trick r treat with friends so I will be home by myself....last year got chinese food so maybe will do that again this year. Oh, and handed out candy!

I remember last year I ran out of candy, so I went to the pantry and just started pulling out poptarts, granola bars, microwave popcorn because the kids never stopped showing up!

Happy Halloween!! Dang, heck of a day for a job interview, huh?? LOL

My kids are too big to trick or treat, so we are going to hang out at the house and hand out candy, if we get any kids. I think last year I got maybe 6 or 7, so we will see. We are also going to watch on the SciFi channel "Ghost Hunters" and it is suppose to be a live show tonight. We love to watch that show. Then it will be time to hit the hay and get ready for another crappy work day!

I will try to get on here tonight and let everyone know how the interview went!

Hey, if anyone dresses up, I think they need to post pictures!!!

I hope you guys enjoy doing Halloween with your kids! Mine are grown, and I really miss that part.

We do hand out candy, though. I put togetther a halloween sack for my youngest sons' girlfriends' kids-4yrs and 6 years- I love doing that!!

I looked at myself in the mirror this am and believe I will leave my hair just as it is and be a witch  karen

Bossy ~ just because your kids are grown doesn't mean you have to give up the fun stuff. I don't know how many kids you have in your neighborhood, but you can still do some outside decorating and dress up to hand out candy. Heck, maybe get your grown kids involved in something scary. My kids trick or treated up until they turned 13 and once they turned 13, that no more, so up until we moved, my son would dress up as something scary and hand out candy while I dressed up and directed the kids where to go. I have my "graveyard" set up in the front yard with the lights on it,( prob. not as elaborate as I usually do, but been a crazy year), but the porch is decorated with spiderwebs, lights, ghosts, spiders, etc and we just have fun, even if we only get a few kids at the house. We love seeing all the little ones dressed up. Don't grow up!!! Stay a kid at heart, that is what I do.

I will have more trick or treaters than I will know what to do with. The whole neighborhood shuts down - no cars in or out and people park at the pool for trunk or treat. People come from all over to trick or treat in my neighborhood. I went trough 5 large bags of candy last year and ran out. We only trick or treat between 6 and 8 so atleast it does not last all night. I like to see the little kids in costume. They are so cute.

i did not have any money to buy treats so i am in a dark house, so that no one would come to my home. only thing my phone is ringing off the hook from bill collectors. they start every morning at exactly 8 and the last call is at 8:57p.m. this goes on every hour every 10 or 15 minutes.

I dressed up, and I got candy..lots and lots!!!!

Here's the crappy part. We went to my mom's house to trick or treat, and she fed us dinner beforehand. She got a bunch of buckets of KFC. It was me, my husband, my son, my sister and brother-in-law, and their 3 kids. We pigged out..I ate one ****, a wing, and a drumstick..Plus potatoes, coleslaw, and a roll. I was stuffed! Then..I had candy, but not too much. Then, at 2am..I woke up..and started throwing up. I couldn't stop, it was horrible!! I threw up twice at work, too. I am finally starting to feel better..I will never eat fried chicken again.
